The San Bernardino County Museum invites the public to visit the museum in Redlands free of charge on Sunday, October 7, from 9am to 5pm. Free admission is sponsored by Yum Yum Family Restaurant.
At 2pm, join handweavers and learn how to create a weaving project in the Fisk Gallery. This hands-on event for families is hosted by the Inland Empire Handweavers Guild, a member of the Western Textile Center.
In addition to the museum's permanent exhibits, visitors will also be able to enjoy special exhibits, "Living on the Edge: natural disasters in the San Bernardino County Museum" in the Fisk Gallery, and "Through the Looking Glass, children's clothing of the past" in the Hall of History. The Exploration Station, a live animal gallery will also be open from 1 to 4pm.
The San Bernardino County Museum will also be open from 9am to 5pm on October 8, Columbus Day, Monday. The museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. Parking is free. For more information, visit www.sbcountymuseum.org or call (909) 307-2669.
