File a complaint or report a concern using one of the following options:
Yes, you can remain anonymous. The Helpline is a toll-free communications line operated by a third party and is not connected to the County's phone system. It allows you to report and discuss concerns with an independent specialist who does not work for the County. Calls are not recorded and you may choose to remain anonymous.
In the event you notice a County employee or official straying from the County's commitment to ethical conduct, contact the Helpline or the Office of Compliance and Ethics. Misconduct includes, but is not limited to, criminal conduct, illegal activity, theft, fraud, discrimination, confidentiality breach, misuse or misappropriation of resources, conflict of interest, and retaliation/harassment.
A trained specialist will answer your call, listen to your concerns, and follow up with clarifying questions. At the end of the call, you will receive a unique reference number and a date to call and follow up on the report, if you choose to do so. Your report will be forwarded to the Office of Compliance and Ethics for review and, if necessary, investigation. The appropriate County department and Human Resources may also be involved in the review and/or investigative process.
For assistance, contact the County's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office at (909) 387- 5584. Complaints may also be filed with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
