Current Events


08/18/09 - Kelly Temp Services has selected Risk Management’s Risk Control Division and the County as this year's recipient of their 2009 Safety Leadership Award. Congratulations to LeAnna and her team!   
08/18/09 - At the 2009 American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Conference in San Antonio, Texas, Safety Specialist Chris Gates was honored with the “Meritorious Service” award, for his continual support and service to the Council on Practices and Standards. Chris has received many awards for his dedication to improving employee safety. We are proud to have Mr. Gates as a Risk Management employee. Congratulations, Chris!  
03/04/09 - Risk Management’s Workers Compensation Division has successfully completed and easily passed a detailed claim audit conducted by the State of California’s, Department of Industrial Relations. This audit result confirms that injured SBC employees are receiving the benefits to which they are legally entitled in a timely and professional manner. Congratulations to Supervisor Nancy Rice and her staff.
