Geology Curator To Give Gallery Talk
Chris Sagebiel, curator of geology at the San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands, will give an informal gallery talk at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5. The presentation will focus on the museum’s mineral collections and is free with museum general admission.
The gallery talk is part of a continuing series of presentations by museum staff to provide visitors with more insight about exhibits and current research at the museum. In this talk, Sagebiel will discuss mineral specimens on display at the museum and the processes responsible for their creation, with a focus on igneous processes. He will also reveal plans for new mineral exhibits in the museum’s planned Hall of Geological Wonders.
