Established in 1952, the San Bernardino County Museum Association was the precursor to
todayís County Museum. Since donating the Museum to the County in 1961, the Associationís
mission has been to foster research and education, support programs, participate in funding
capital improvement, and to solicit, receive, manage and distribute funds and gifts for the
benefit of the San Bernardino County Museum.
The Association is responsible for the Museumís membership program. As a non-profit organization,
the Association also secures grant funding and private contributions for the benefit of the Museum.
