The following storm water pollution prevention educational and reference materials are available in Acrobat PDF format to view and download. Just click on the name of the item you want. For residents, they feature easy and effective prevention tips for lawn and garden care, car washing, home improvement and other everyday activities where small steps can make a big difference. For businesses, they offer practical pollution prevention guidelines for maintenance and cleaning activities, waste management, proper hazardous materials storage and disposal.

Education materials:

Bill inserts:

These are 3.625” x 8.5” double-sided flyers designed to fit inside a standard #10 business envelope.

Brochures:

These are 4” x 9” (folded) brochures that can be displayed or mailed as a self-mailer or inside a standard #10 business envelope.

Fact sheets:

These are 8.5” x 11” double-sided, full-color fact sheets in English and Spanish.

Newspaper ads:

These are approximately 1/4-page black-and-white newspaper ads. The ad size is 3 columns (5.69”) by 7.5”, based on standard advertising units.

Outdoor billboards:

These are reduced versions of 48” x 60” full-color bus shelter posters.

Posters:

These are 18” x 24” full-color posters. The auto service and restaurant posters include Spanish.

Press releases:

These are recent news releases and a feature article about the San Bernardino County Storm Water Program that appeared in a national water quality magazine.

Tip cards:

These are 4.125” x 5.5” double-sided, full color tip cards designed to be displayed at point of purchase venues or distributed at events.

Reference materials:

Basin Plan:

The Basin Plan documents the beneficial uses of the region's ground and surface waters, existing water quality conditions, problems, and goals, and actions by the regional board and others that are necessary to achieve and maintain water quality standards.

NPDES Permit:

The Permit outlines additional steps for a storm water management program and specify requirements to help protect the beneficial uses of the receiving waters.

Report of Waste Discharge:

The Report of Waste Discharge (ROWD) describes the San Bernardino Stormwater Program, implemented by the County and cities to comply with their jointly held stormwater permit. It is the principle policy and guidance document for the NPDES Stormwater Program.

Water Quality Management Plan

Program annual report:

The Annual Status Report is a requirement of the NPDES permit for submittal to the Regional Boards and United States Environmental Protection Agency. The report presents an analysis and assessment of permit compliance activities.
