Coroner case #700404399-- On Friday, July 3, 2009 at 1235 PM, a fifty-seven year old male resident of San Bernardino was traveling westbound on Highland Avenue at Piedmont Street when witnesses observed him lose control of his 1989 Chevrolet pick-up truck, cross the center median into the eastbound lanes, and then collide into a brick wall. San Bernardino Police Department is investigating the collision. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. The name is being withheld until next of kin can be notified. Coroner case #700904306--REQUEST FOR PUBLIC ASSISTANCE: back on 6/29/09 at approximately 3:30 p.m. Patricia Thelma McCombs, an 83 year old resident of Desert Hot Springs, CA was found deceased in an open field approximately 30 feet away from her vehicle which was off a dirt road near River Rd and Soto Ranch Rd in Needles. It appears she may have abandoned the vehicle to seek assistance from a local casino and collapsed. The cause of death is still under investigation. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Coroner Division is requesting assistance from the public in locating family members of Patricia Thelma McCombs, also known as Patricia Thelma Corbor-Dookie and Patricia Thelma Corbor. McCombs was a resident of Desert Hot Springs. Anyone with information is urged to call 909-387-2978 and speak to a Deputy Coroner. [070209 1510 SY]

  3. Coroner case# 700904369—-Back on 06-29-09, at about 9:00 PM, San Bernardino Police Department officers responded to the 600 block of West 16th Street for a shots fired call and upon arrival, three shooting victims were found. Pascual Popoca, age: 18, from San Bernardino was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center and admitted in critical condition. he was subsequently pronounced dead on 7-1-09 at 5:00 PM. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. The San Bernardino Police Department is investigating the incident. [070109 2100 EM]

  4. Coroner case #700904369--On 7/1/09 at approximately 12:06 p.m., a 57 year old hispanic female of Las Vegas was traveling in a Silver 2006 Toyota Solara northbound in the #1 lane of the IS-15 Freeway south of Lenwood in Barstow. The Toyota Solara and a SUV traveling north in the #3 lane both attempted to merge into the #2 lane, noticed each other before colliding, and the driver of the Toyota overcorrected causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and roll several time. CHP and paramedics responded to the scene. The California Highway Patrol and paramedics responded to the scene. The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment. The name of decedent will be released upon notification of next of kin. CHP is investigating the accident.   5. Coroner case 700904349--On 07/01/2009 at 3:31 AM, Edgar Hernanadez-Uribe, age:18, from Highland, was driving a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Interstate 10 east of Pepper Avenue in Colton when for an unknown reason he lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected. Paramedics responded and he was pronounced dead at the scene. CHP is investigating this collision. [070109 0610 EM]

Coroner case #700903545- Request for public assistance in locating next of kin: Back on 5/27/09 Bernard Francis Musielak, 82 years of age, was found deceased of natural causes in his apartment in the 500 block of G Street in San Bernardino. The Sheriff's Coroner Division is asking anyone with information about next of kin for Mr. Musielak to please call (909) 387-2978 and ask to speak with a Deputy Coroner. [063009 1649 SY]

  7. Coroner case# 700904315—-On 06-29-09, at about 9:00 PM, San Bernardino Police Department officers responded to the 600 block of West 16th Street for a shots fired call. Upon arrival, three shooting victims were found. All were transported to local hospitals. Ivory Lee Houston, a 32 year-old male resident of San Bernardino, was pronounced dead from his injuries at Loma Linda University Medical Center at 9:36 PM.   8. Coroner case #700904309--On 6-29-09 at 2:13 PM, fire personnel responded to a residential structure fire at a home in the 12000 block of 2nd Street in Yucaipa. After the fire was extinguished, the body of a female was found inside the residenc> burned beyond recognition. When identification has been determined and next of kin notified, her name will be released. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. Coroner case #700904305--On 6-29-09 at 2:15 PM, a 24 year old female from Arleta, was a passenger in a 2006 Ford Fusion that was traveling southbound on Interstate 15, south of Bailey Road in Mountain Pass when the driver left the roadway and overturned. CHP and paramedics responded and pronounced the passenger dead at the scene When next of kin has been notified, her name will be released. CHP is investigating the collision.   10. Coroner case #700904293--On 6/28/09 at 11:00 PM, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputies from the Victorville Station responded 14700 Cheyenne Place to check the welfare of a male believed to be suicidal. The male was located holding a knife. Following a confrontation an officer involved shooting occurred. Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Gabriel Munoz, a 41 year old resident of Victorvilledead on scene. An autopsy will be performed to determine exact cause of death.   11. Coroner case 700904292--On 06/28/2009 at 8:18 PM, Anthony Amaya, age: 3, from San Bernardino was a rear passenger in a 2005 Chevy Malibu which had been traveling southbound on Interstate 215 to the westbound Interstate 10 interchange in the city of Colton when for an unknown reasons the vehicle rolled ejecting Anthony from the vehicle. Paramedics responded and transported him to the Loma Linda University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 9:05 PM. CHP is investigating the collision. [062909 0145 EM]

  12. Coroner case # 700904274—On Sunday, June 28, 2009 at about 4:00 am, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station responded to a suspicious circumstances call behind a vacant business located on the 11700 block of 4th Street in Rancho Cucamonga. A security guard for the property was reporting a man down near the dumpsters of the business. Deputies arrived and discovered the body of a male subject obviously deceased. The Sheriff's Homicide Detail responded to the scene and is conducting the investigation. Investigators believe the decedent to be a 59 year old, Caucasian transient. It appears he could have been at the location for some time. The exact cause of death will be determined at autopsy. [062809 0825 GB]

  13. Coroner case # 700904273-- A 911 call was received on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 9:49 pm. Fire/rescue personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene. After they extinguished the fire they found human remains with extensive thermal injuries in the residence. The decedent is believed to be a 51 year old, male resident of Victorville. The identity of the decedent is being withheld pending positive identification of the remains. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident. [062809 0825 GB] The fire occurred in the 200 block of E. Yermo Rd in Yermo, CA. Positive identification of the decedent has not been completed.

  14. Coroner Case #700904050 – Request For The Public's Assistance: The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Coroner’s Division is requesting the public’s help in locating next of kin for Ronald Johnson also known as Franklin Joseph McCallester, a 54 year old White male. On Thursday, June 18, 2009, at about 8:55 AM, Johnson/ McCallester was found unresponsive in the 2100 Block of Foothill Blvd., in Upland. Officers with the Upland Police Department arrived on scene and confirmed the male was dead due to trauma to the body. Johnson/ McCallester was born in Florida and lived in the Inland Empire including Claremont and Upland areas. Johnson/ McCallester also resided in Orange County and possibly Texas.   15. Coroner case #700904200--On 06/25/09 at about 6:13 AM, Deputies from the San Bernardino Sheriff Department, Morongo Basin Station were sent to the 7500 block of Elwood St. to check on a subject found down in a backyard. Further investigation revealed that Brandin Lee Zantop, a 30 year-old resident of Joshua Tree, was traveling southbound on Quail Springs Rd. near the intersection with Pueblo Tr. when, for unknown reasons, his 2006 blue and silver Yamaha motorcycle left the roadway. After losing control of the motorcycle, Zantop was ejected and came to rest in the backyard of a residence that faced Elwood St. When deputies arrived on-scene, Zantop was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the collision.   16. Coroner case #700904195--On 6/24/09 at 2:30 PM, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputies from the Big Bear Station responded to a call to check the welfare of a guest of a lodge in the 40000 block of Lakeview Dr. in Big Bear Lake. Jung Il Kim, a 48 year old resident of San Clemente, was found in a cabin with upper body trauma and pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy will be performed to determine exact cause of death. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Homicide Detail is also investigating the incident. [062509 1152 SY]

  17. Coroner cases 700904173 and 700904174--On 6/23/09 at approximately 10:30 p.m. deputies from the Victorville Police Station were called to the area of US Hwy 395 and Eucalyptus St regarding suspicious circumstances involving a Hispanic male adult down in the roadway with trauma. While investigating this incident a vehicle with two Hispanic males who had been shot was found parked nearby. The two males in the vehilce were confirmed dead at the scene. The original victim was transported to a hospital for treatment. Names of the deceased will be released pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.   18. Coroner case 700904171--On June 24, 2009 at 1:27 a.m. the driver of a semi truck carrying a load of steel was traveling westbound on Interstate 10 east of Sierra Avenue in Fontana. For unknown reasons the semi truck collided with the rear of another semi truck causing the cab of the rear truck to go under the trailer of the one in front. The driver, believed to be a 22 year old hispanic male, was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the driver will be released pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.   19. Coroner case #05-0838--Back on February 3, 2005, an early morning report of a residential fire in an abandoned building in the 300 block of west 9th St. was made to the San Bernardino Fire Department. When the fire was extinguished the body of a male adult was found charred inside the residence. Investigation revealed that this man had been using the name “Shawn David Doris.” However, searches for either a person of that name or relatives of such a person were unsuccessful, and it was suspected that the name was an alias. Fingerprints were unavailable due to the thermal burns, but dental records were submitted to the California Department of Justice, Missing/Unidentified Persons Unit, and DNA samples were submitted to DOJ’s Missing Persons DNA Program. On Friday, May 15, 2009, the Coroner Division was notified by DOJ-DNA that the decedent’s profile had been matched against a profile submitted to Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) by the Arizona Department of Safety. The decedent had been identified as Shawn Christian Shipley, who was 44 years of age at the time of his death. Late last week, and with the assistance of a private citizen ancestry researcher, the family was located and notified of the death. Shipley had never been reported missing. [06232009 0623 SY]

  20. Coroner Case #700904153--On 06/23/2009 at 1:05 AM, Johnny Rogers, a 45 year old resident of Big Bear, was struck by an eastbound train near Anderson Street and Stewart Street in Loma Linda. Paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident. [062309 0525 EM]

Coroner case #700904148--On 6-22-09 at about 10:45 PM, William Trumble, age: 75, from Buena Park, was driving a 2003 Dodge pick-up truck southbound on I-15 in the Cajon Pass when he lost control of his vehicle and went through the guard rail at Baldy Mesa Road. Paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. [062309 0400 EM]

  22. Coroner case #700904126 -- Lisa Portillo was a 34 year-old female resident of Victorville who was driving a 2005 Hyundai northbound on Arlette Drive in the city of Victorville. Portillo crossed over the median and struck a minivan head-on at about 2:23 AM on 06/22/2009. Portillo was transported to Victor Valley Community Hospital emergency room where she died from her injuries at 3:54 AM. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the collision.   23. Coroner case #700904124--On 6-21-09 at 11:18 PM, Raul Contreras, age: 47, from Ontario, was walking southbound across the 600 block of W. Holt Blvd. in Ontario and was struck by a westbound 2001 Pontiac Grand Am. Paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene. The Ontario Police Department is investigating the collision.   24. Coroner case #700904075 -- On Friday, June 19, 2009, at about 9:15 a.m., paramedics responded to a medical aid call on the 500 block of E. Huff St. in Rialto. Upon their arrival they confirmed the death of Elizabeth Benson, age 83 who died in her residence. The Rialto Police Department is investigating the death as a homicide.   25. Coroner case number 700904067-- On 06/19/2009 at 9:17 AM, Martha G. Perez, a fifty-three year old resident of Chino, was the right front passenger of a 1992 Toyota Paseo that was traveling northbound Central Avenue at Eucalyptus Avenue. At the intersection, the Paseo collided with a 2006 Toyota Camry that was making a left turn on Eucalyptus Avenue from northbound Central Avenue. Perez was treated at the scene and transported to Chino Valley Medical Center where she was pronounced dead from her injuries at 10:07 AM.   26. Coroner Case #700904050 – On Thursday, June 18, 2009, at about 8:55 AM, a 54 year old, Caucasian, male, resident of Upland was found unresponsive in the 2100 Block of Foothill Blvd., in Upland. Officers with the Upland Police Department arrived on scene and confirmed the male was dead due to trauma to the body. The Upland Police Department is investigating. Coroner Case # 700904024--Request For Public Assistance: The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Coroner’s Division is requesting the public’s help in locating next of kin for Miguel Michaca Torres, a 74 year old Hispanic male. Torres died on 06/17/2009 when he was struck by a vehicle on Holt Ave, in the city of Montclair. Torres was born in Mexico and lived in the Ontario and Montclair areas.   28. Coroner Case #700904024--- On 06/17/2009, at 8:59 PM, Montclair Police Department officers responded to a 911 call involving an automobile and a pedestrian. A male Hispanic was walking northbound on Holt Ave, in the city of Montclair, when he was struck by a 2004 Toyota Tundra Pickup traveling eastbound. The man was transported by paramedics to Montclair Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 9:35 PM. The name of the man will be released pending notification of the next of kin.   29. Coroner case #700904017-- Natasha Nichol Leinaala Mahelona, a 28 year old resident of Hawaii, was the driver and sole occupant of a 2006 Honda Accord. On 06/17/09 at 11 am., Mahelona was northbound on Morning Star Mine Road, seven miles east of Cima Rd, in Cima. Mahelona was traveling at a high speed when she exited a curve, d lost control and the vehicle overturned. Mahelona was pronounced dead at the scene.   30. Coroner case #700903991--On 06/16/09 at 9:38 AM, Chino Police responded to 911 calls of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 6600 block of Riverside Ave. in Chino. Police and paramedics responded to the scene and found Meiyun Kang, an 82 year-old resident of Chino, down on the pavement. According to witnesses, Kang was crossing Riverside Ave. northbound outside of the crosswalk area. The driver of a white Honda sedan was westbound in the #1 lane and struck Kang as she crossed into traffic. Paramedics checked Kang for vital signs and pronounced her dead on-scene at 9:49 AM. The Chino Police Department, Traffic Bureau is investigating the collision. [061609 1627 SY]

Coroner case #700903982--On 6-15-09 at 11:35 PM, A Vernon Christopher Hernandez, age: 32, a resident of Fontana, was driving a 1995 Chevy Pick-up westbound on Mirada Road and collided with a southbound 1993 MCI Bus (with 23 passengers) at Victoria Avenue in San Bernardino. Paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene. The San Bernardino Police Department is investigating the collision.   32. Coroner case #700903968--On 6-15-09 at about 8:45 AM, the body of a male, 35-45 years of age was found in Lake Havasu near Havasu Landing. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. When his identity is determined and next of kin notified, his name will be released. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is investigating.   33. Coroner Case #700903981--Back on 6/09/09 at 9:30 PM, James Nichols Henderson, a 21 year old resident of Ontario, was driving his motorcycle westbound on Riverside Drive and collided with a vehicle at Central Avenue in Chino. Paramedcis responded and transported him to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. As a result of his injuries, he was pronounced dead on 6/16/09 at 1:55 AM. The Chino Police Department is investigating the traffic collision. [061609 0505 EM]

  34. Coroner case #700903966 -- On 06/14/09, at 11:12 PM, the San Bernardino Police Department had received a 911 call of shots fired in the 1400 block of W. Marshall Blvd. When officers arrived on scene they found Michael Edayan, age 22 and a resident of Highland, on the ground unresponsive. Edayan was located in Blair Park. San Bernardino City Fire Department arrived on scene and fire paramedics pronounced Edayan dead at the scene at 11:33 PM. The death was related to a traumatic injury. Coroner case #700903961 — On Sunday, June 14, 2009, at approximately 11:00 PM, James Hayward Julian IV, a 26 year old resident of San Bernardino, was driving a 1991 Suzuki motorcycle southbound I-215 at 2nd Street in the city of San Bernardino when he was struck by a 1999 Ford pick-up truck. Julian was pronounced dead from his injuries on-scene. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. [061509 0830 TC]

  36. Coroner case #700903932— On 06-13-09, at 5:59 AM, an adult male was found deceased at Cajon Blvd, south of Cleghorn Fire Road in Devore by a passerby from an apparent gunshot wound.   37. Coroner case # 700903920—On Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 1:21 AM, Crystal Smith, a 16 year old resident of Hesperia was crossing U.S. 395 and Chamberlaine Lane in Adelanto on foot. Smith was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet Caviler that was traveling northbound on U.S. 395. Smith was transported to Victor Valley Community Hospital where she was pronounced dead from her injuries at 3:10 AM. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.   38. Coroner case #700903918 – On Saturday 06-12-09, at 9:55 PM, Henry Jackson III, a 57 year-old resident of Los Angeles, became involved in a physical altercation with another male subject in the 1100 block of Teton Drive in Barstow. During the altercation Jackson was shot and was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:20 PM. The Barstow Police Department is investigating the incident. [061409 0740 TC]

  39. Coroner Case # 700903911–On Friday, June 12, 2009, at 7:08 PM, Fabian Cirenio, a 31 year-old resident of Ontario, was the driver of a white 2002 Dodge Intrepid. The Intrepid was traveling westbound Mission Blvd. in Ontario at approximately 85-90 MPH weaving in and out of traffic. At Mission Blvd, approximately 645 feet west of Baker Ave. Cirenio lost control and collided with a tree on the right hand shoulder. Cirenio sustained multiple traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Ontario Police Department’s Traffic Services Division is investigating the collision. [061309 0825 GB]

  40. Coroner Case #700903910-– On Friday, June 12, 2009, at 7:27 PM, Karen Hernandez, a 65 year-old resident of Apple Valley, was driving a 1997 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck southbound on Interstate 15, south of Sierra Avenue in Fontana, when she veered off the roadway from the number two lane. The S10 rolled several times and came to rest on the south embankment. Paramedics from the San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived and pronounced her dead at 7:41 PM.   41. Case #700903889-- On 06/11/2009 at 10:40 AM, James Willis, a 60 year old resident of Running Springs exited a private drive from Heaps Peak Dump onto Highway 18 in Cedar Glen. Willis was driving a 1990 Toyota Pick-up. As he exited the driveway he was broadsided by a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. Willis was transported to Mountains Community Hospital and was later transported to Kaiser Foundation Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on 06/12/2009 at 12:04 A.M.   42. Coroner case #700903874-On 06/11/2009 at about 12:47 AM, officers from the Rialto Police Department responded to a report gunshots heard in the 200 block of E. Jackson Street. When Officers arrived, they found Montoyea Montez Smith, a 28 year-old resident of Rialto, down in the yard. Smith was suffering from upper body trauma and paramedics responded to the location. The paramedics pronounced Smith dead on-scene at 12:57 AM. The Rialto Police Department is investigating the death. An autopsy will be performed next week to determine the exact cause of death.   43. Coroner case 700903854 VN: On Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at about 11:15 AM, a crew performing a survey in the desert northeast of the Kramer Junction came upon a human skull. It is estimated that the remains had been in this location at least two years, and as long as twenty years. Additional examinations will be conducted in order to attempt to determine the cause of death.   44. Coroner Case #700903798-- On 06/07/2009 at approximately 11:45 PM, Keyon Fowler, a twenty-four year old male resident of Rialto, was walking across a parking lot located in the 1600 block of W. Rialto Avenue in Rialto, when he was shot by assailant(s). Rialto Fire Department arrived on scene and pronounced Fowler dead at 11:53 PM. Rialto Police Department is investigating this homicide.   45. Coroner Case #700903793-–Back on May 22, 2009, at 9:20 PM, Kevin Murray, a 52 year-old resident of Fontana, was involved in a motorcylce collision in the Baldwin Park area. Paramedics responded and transported him to USC Medical Center. Murray was later transported to Kaiser Foundation Hospital and later died from his injuries on June 7, 2009 at 9:52 PM.   46. Coroner case #700903710 – On June 3, 2009 at 4:50 PM, Fontana police and fire responded to a medical aid call in the 8600 block of Bennett Street. Tina Bond a 40 year old resident of Fontana was found to have been struck by lightning at the location. Bond was pronounced dead at the scene. [060409 0753 SY]

Coroner case #700903701- On 06/03/09 at about 1101 AM, Deputies from the San Bernardino Sheriff Department, Big Bear Station were sent to the 400 block of Catalina Rd. in Big Bear Lake for a large tree that had broken off about 30 feet about the ground level and had struck a vehicle. When deputies arrived, they found a dark Chevrolet Suburban in the street with the driver side passenger compartment crushed by the tree. The driver, the solo occupant of the vehicle, Elena Martinez, a 31 year-old resident of Big Bear Lake, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics at 1205 PM. The San bernardino Sheriff Department, Big Bear Station is investigating the accident. [060309 1658 SY]

  48. Coroner Case 700903694-- On 06/03/09 at 6:52 AM, John Morris, a 56 year old resident of Riverside, was riding his 2003 Kawasaki Nomad motorcycle north bound on I-215 freeway when he struck the rear end of a Ford 550 utility truck. Colton Fire Department paramedics pronounced Morris dead at the scene at 7:10 AM. The California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino Station is investigating the accident. [060309 1153 SY]

  49. Coroner Case #700903692-–On June 3, 2009, at 2:00 AM, Victor Manuel Farias Jr., a 46 year-old resident of Apple Valley, was driving a 1995 Ford F150 truck southbound on Interstate 15, north of Kenwood Avenue in Devore when he his vehicle overturned ejecting him. Paramedics responded and transported him to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead at 3:44 AM. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.   50. Coroner Case #700903689--On 06/02/2009 at 8:55 PM, San Bernardino Police Department Officers witnessed a traffic collision at 1300 N. Kendall Drive in the city of San Bernardino. David Michael Walters, a 42 year old resident of Riverside, was driving a 1992 Honda Accord eastbound on Kendall Drive when he struck a westbound 2009 Honda Accord that turned left into his path of travel. Walters was confirmed dead on scene by paramedics at 9:04 PM. The driver and passenger of the 1992 Honda were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. The San Bernardino Police Department is investigating the accident. [060309 0330 EM]

  51. Coroner case #700903633, 3634 and 3635--On 6-1-09 at 12:55 AM, the San Bernardino County Sheriff and Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a residence in the 16200 Block of Cajon Street in Hesperia. After fire personnel arrived, three of the five family members were found in the house suffering from burns and smoke inhalation and were removed for treatment. Gabriel Pineda-Hernandez, age: 36 from Hesperia and his son Gabriel Pineda, age: 9 were pronounced dead at the scene. Christian Pineda, age: 4 was transported to Desert Valley Hospital and pronounced dead at 1:51 AM. A female adult and another 11 year old child were transported to local hospitals where their conditions are unknown. Autopsies will be performed to determine the cause of death. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident. {060109 0550 EM]

Coroner case #700705335 - Back on July 11, 2007, Kelly Gene Saunders, a 46 year old resident of San Bernardino, died as the result of a house fire in the 200 block of East 17th Street, in San Bernardino. The Coroner's Division has been unsuccessful in locating his family and is seeking the public's assistance in helping us to find them.     2. Coroner Case 06-9509DC--The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department-Coroner Division is asking for public assistance. Back on 11/30/2006 Thomas Leroy Barton age 65, died of natural causes at San Antonio Community Hospital. He did not list anyone as his next of kin. He had also used the name of Roy Barton Thomas. He is believed to have been a transient in the Ontario area since 1998. Anyone with information as to his family is urged to contact the Coroner’s Division 909-387-2978. [120906 2025 RK]

    3. Coroner Case #06-9277CW—The Coroner’s Division of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the assistance of the media and public in locating the next of kin for Gilbert Manuel Guzman, age: 53, (DOB:09/01/1953). Guzman died of apparent natural causes, on December 1, 2006, at a friend’s home in the 4000 block of Linson Street, in the city of Adelanto.     4. Coroner Case #06-8824WB—The Coroner’s Division of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the assistance of the media and public in locating the next of kin for Enrique Valenzuela, age: 53, (DOB: 4/21/1953). Back on 11-14-06, he was found dead of apparent natural causes at his home in the 2100 block of W. Ogden Street, San Bernardino. Valenzuela is believed to have a daughter, Xochitl Valenzuela, living in Compton, California. Anyone with information is asked to call The Coroner’s Division at (909) 387-2978. [112906 2227 EM]

    5. Coroner case 06-8806 ML: Back on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at 1:12 PM, a gardener clearing brush behind a business in the 1300 block of E. D Street saw a body near the back fence of the property and contacted the Ontario Police Department. Officers responded to the scene and confirmed the presence of a dead male adult with upper body trauma. The Ontario Police Department Homicide Detail is investigating the circumstances of the death. UPDATE (11/22/06): All attempts to identify the decedent have been unsuccessful and he has been designated John Doe #36-06. The body is described as being that of a Hispanic male, appearing to be in his late teens to twenties, 5’4”, 113 lbs, with short black hair. He had multiple tattoos, including the following: A sunburst design with a heart in the middle to the upper right chest, a mask (clown?) to the upper left arm, "Mikdalia" to the left forearm, and a skull and crossed bones to the upper right arm. One finger on his left hand had been amputated at the knuckle. Some people in the area knew him as “Marco Antonio Aguello Perez,” possibly from Chiapas.
