  1. Sheriff Department Missing Person Case #010903389: Back in February 1993 Doungboupa “Dawn” Sihakhom, a 17 year old resident of Ontario, California, ran away from home. After losing contact with Dawn, the family believed that she may have met with foul play, and contacted their local law enforcement agency. However, no missing person report was accepted by the police at that time On July 13, 2009, San Bernardino County Sheriff Volunteer Becky Castillo (Coroner Division) was contacted by a family member. After arranging for Dawn to be reported missing, Volunteer Castillo assisted the family in submitting reference DNA samples, consisting of q-tips swabbed on the inside of a family member’s mouth, and submitting these to the California Department of Justice, Missing Persons DNA Program. Volunteer Castillo then began searching records of reported unidentified person, living and dead. Castillo located a case of an unidentified young female who had been found dead in Sierra Madre, Los Angeles County, on February 7, 1993, the victim of a homicide. DNA samples had been submitted by the Los Angeles County Coroner Department for Jane Doe #7, and a profile was available. Castillo requested that the two profiles be compared, as soon as the missing person’s profile was completed, a process that typically takes approximately four months. On Monday, October 26, 2009, the Department of Justice confirmed that Jane Doe #7 was Dawn Sihakhom. Dawn’s death is under the investigation of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department.   2. Coroner Case #700907374--On 11/06/09 at 6:38 AM fire personnel from the San Bernardino Fire Department responded to the 1600 Block of Lugo Ave. for a structure fire. When they arrived, fire department paramedics found Leta Carol Lindsey, a 65 year-old resident of San Bernardino unresponsive inside of her apartment. Paramedics pronounced Lindsay dead at the scene. The incident is being investigated by the San Bernardino Police Department and the San Bernardino City Fire Department. An autopsy will be conducted next week to determine the exact cause of death.   3. Coroner Case #700907290—On 11/02/2009 at approximately 11:25 PM, San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a 911 call for a male laying on the side of the road in the 8100 block of Palomar Ave in Yucca Valley. Douglas Justin James Willison, a 56 year old resident of Yucca Valley had been riding his bicycle and was rear-ended by a pick-up truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics at 11:33 PM.   4. Coroner case #700907278-- On Monday, 11/02/2009 at approximately 12:00 PM, sixty year old Celebrada Lomato-Sexton was found shot to death in a cabin at Camp Cedar Falls Campground in Angeles Oaks. Paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced Lomato-Sexton dead at 1222 hours. Lomato-Sexton was a resident/employee at the campground.   5. Coroner case #700907236 -- On 11-01-09, at 1:42 AM a 47 year-old male from Mira Loma was walking northbound in the southbound #2 lane of Interstate 215 just south of the Devore overpass in Devore. The pedestrain was struck by a 2005 Ford Explorer. The driver of the Explorer stopped and called 911. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at 2:00 AM. When family of the decedent is contacted and notified his name will be released to the public.   6. Coroner Case #700907241-- On 11/01/2009, at 12:33 AM, San Bernardino County Sheriff Department deputies responded to a residence located in the 35000 block of Ave C, in the city of Yucaipa for a report of an assault. Bianca Becerra, a 16 year old resident of Yucaipa, was found with trauma to the body. Becerra was transported to Loma Linda Medical Center where she later died at 4:00 AM from her injuries. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. San Bernardino County Sheriff Department, Homicide Division, is investigating the incident. [110109 0600 TC]

  7. Coroner Case # 700907207 / 700907208- On 10/30/2009, at approximately 9:14 AM, the Fontana Police Department responded to a "shots fired" call in the 7400 Block of Almeria Ave., in Fontana. When they arrived, Robert Ramirez, a 36 year-old resident of Fontana, was located along with a 37 year old unidentified male, both sustained upper body trauma. Paramedics pronounced both men dead at the scene. The name of the unidentified male will be released pending identification and notification to the next of kin. The Fontana Police Department is investigating and autopsies will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.   8. Coroner case 700907199 VN: On Friday, October 30, 2009, at 8:16 AM, a multiple vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Hook Blvd. and El Evado Rd., in Victorville. Cyndy Diaz Villalobos, a 19 year old resident of Victorville, had been driving her younger brother to school when her vehicle was broadsided in the intersection. She was flown by Mercy Air Ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center. She was rushed to the operating room, where she died at 10:51 AM during emergency surgery. Cyndy’s brother was taken to a local hospital and subsequently released. The San Bernardino County Sheriff Department is investigating the collision. [10/30/09 1414 VN]

  9. Coroner Case #700907188—On 10/30/2009 at 2:48 AM, California Highway Patrol officers responded to a 911 call for a traffic collision. A 2003 Honda Accord driven by a 25 year old male Fontana resident was eastbound on Arrow Rte, in Fontana. The Honda rear-ended a semi truck and trailer approximately 240 feet east of the intersection of Arrow Rte and Robinia Street. The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics at 3:07 AM. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.   10. Coroner Case #700907143--On 10/28/09 at 11:55 PM, officers from the San Bernardino Police Department responded to the 2100 block of Waterman Ave Street after receiving reports of a vehicle burglary. When officers arrived, they found the vehicle, a 2003 silver Chevrolet Silverado, occupied by an unresponsive adult male in the driver seat with trauma from a self-inflicted gunshot. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics at 12:00 PM. The name of the the 56 year old male will be released following notification of next of kin.   11. Coroner Case #700907157 -- On 10/28/2009 at 2030 hours, officers from the San Bernardino Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the 500 Block of N. Meridian Ave. When they arrived they found Michael Romero, a 17 year old resident of San Bernardino, down in the street with gunshot wounds. Romero was pronounced dead at the scene.   12. Coroner case # 700907149-- On 10/28/2009 at approximately 1:11 PM, A male adult entered the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff's Station and said that he killed his mother. He provided an address at a large condominium complex in the 7500 block of W. Liberty Parkway in the city of Fontana. Sheriff deputies and officers from the Fontana Police Department responded to the address and found Terra Robertson, a 61 year old female resident of Northglenn, Colorado, unresponsive on the bed. Paramedics from the San Bernardino County Fire Department pronounced Robertson dead at the scene. The Fontana Police Department is investigating. [102909 0747 SY]

  13. Coroner case #700907125 -- On Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at about 4:35 pm, Barbara Lowe, a 74 year old resident of Big Bear City, was a passenger in a 1999 Ford traveling northbound on State Route 38 in Big Bear City. For an unknown reason the Ford veered off the roadway and struck a tree. Lowe was transported to Bear Valley Community Hospital where she later died of her injuries. She was pronounced dead at 6:15 pm. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. [102809 0123 GB]

  14. Coroner case #700907102 – On Monday, October 26, 2009 at 8:39 pm, Manuel Cervantes, a 31 year old resident of Buena Park, was the driver of a gold 1991 Honda Prelude that was traveling northbound on National Trails Highway in the city of Helendale. After passing a car at a high rate of speed, Cervantes lost control of the Honda and it spun out of control. Paramedics arrived to the scene and pronounced Cervantes dead at 9:05 pm.   15. Coroner case #700907105 - On 10/26/2009 at 5:45 pm, the California Highway Patrol responded to the 27000 block of Jarvis St. in Perris reference collision involving an automobile and a pedestrian. When officers arrived they determined that Randy Vargas, a 12 year old resident of Perris was riding his bicycle westbound on Jarvis St. and was struck by a white Toyota pickup truck that was traveling northbound on Jarvis St. Vargas was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center in the City of Wildomar and was later transferred to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Vargas' condition continued to deteriorate until he was pronounced dead on 10/27/2009 at 1:40 am. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. [102709 0530 GB]

  16. Coroner case #700907082 – On Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 7:14 pm, Robert Leever, a 52 year old resident of Highland, was the driver of a yellow 2003 Ford Focus traveling westbound on E. Pacific Street in San Bernardino. For an unknown reason the vehicle left the roadway striking and traveling past a guardrail and coming to rest against a fence. Paramedics arrived to the scene and pronounced Leever dead at 7:20 pm. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.   17. Coroner case # 7007097067 – Robert K. Hamilton, Jr. age 37, a resident of Adelanto died in the 15000 block of Jonathan Avenue, Adelanto. Hamilton was the driver of a 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that was traveling northbound on Jonathan Avenue when he lost control and the vehicle overturned on 10/25/09 at 12:35 AM. The Adelanto Police Department is investigating the incident. [102509 2300 GB]

  18. Coroner case #7007097074 – Martin J. Lopez-Tiana, age 43, a resident of Los Angeles died on October 24th, 2009 at 11:28 PM in the 11000 block of Fourth Avenue in Hesperia. There was Halloween party to the rear of the home when an altercation in the front yard ended with shot(s) heard. Lopez-Tiana was found by family members in the front yard with major injuries.   19. Coroner case # 700907068-- On 10/25/2009, Yorik Ponce, age 32 and a resident of Redlands was driving westbound on I-10 in his 1997 Jeep Wrangler, when he approached a traffic collision scene on the I-10 at Mt. View in Loma Linda. There were multiple vehicles (five or more) at the scene and while attempting to avoid the vehicles his vehicle was rear ended and spun out of control. While backing up to clear the scene he was broadside by another westbound vehicle. This collision caused his vehicle to flip over onto it side. The first collision happen at 4:55 am and at about 5:02 am was when Ponce’s vehicle was struck broadside. Ponce was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center, emergency room where he was later pronounced dead at 6:13am. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.   20. Coroner case #700907047--On 10-24-09 at 3:47 AM, Bailey E. Sloan, age: 20 from Riverside, was stopped on the right shoulder of the Northbound 215 Freeway north of Washington Avenue in Colton as her 1983 Mercedes 300D had run out of gas. While on the right shoulder, her vehicle was struck in the rear by a northbound 2007 Saturn Sedan. CHP and paramedics responded and pronounced her dead at the scene.   21. Coroner case # 700907009-- On 09/07/2009 at approximately 12:40 AM Eric Quezada, a 17 year old resident of San Bernardino was assaulted in the 2700 block of N. Arrowhead Ave. in San Bernardino by unknown assailants and found on the ground with a head injury. He was treated at Loma Linda University Medical Center, (LLUMC) and later transferred to an extended care facility. His condition began to worsen two days ago and he was sent back to LLUMC where he was pronounced dead at 6:56 AM, 10/22/2009. The San Bernardino Police Department is investigating. [102209 1109 SY}

  22. Coroner case # 700906921—On Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 12:18 am, Alan James Stuart, age 48, a resident of Barstow was crossing State Route 18 just east of Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley on foot when he was struck by a 2007 Ford Windstar minivan. Stuart died at scene of the collision. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the collision. [101809 2104 GB]

Coroner Case #700906873--On 10/15/09 at 11:13 PM, officers from the San Bernardino Police Department responded to the the area of Little Mountain Drive north of Bond Street after receiving reports of a vehicle over the side. When officers arrived, they found the vehicle, a blue Chevrolet Lumina, over the side. Paramedics found the Lumina's driver, Vincent Leo McCarthy a 93 year-old resident of San Bernardino, with his vehicle. It was believed that McCarthy was traveling southbound on Little Mountain Drive when he lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway. McCarthy was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics at 11:30 PM. The San Bernardino Police Department Traffic Division is investigated the circumstances of the accident. [101709 0753 SC]

  24. Coroner case# 700906899/700906900 -- On 10-17-09, at 2:33 AM, CHP responded to a 911 call of an auto-versus-auto traffic accident. The investigation revealed a 2006 Honda Accord was parked possibly in the emergency lane of the northbound I-15 just south of Airport Drive in Ontario. A 2004 Ford Taurus, also traveling northbound, rear-ended the Honda which was occupied by four females. Two 18 year-old females of Moreno Valley, were pronounced dead on-scene at 2:37 AM. The other two females were reportedly in serious to critical condition and transported to nearby hospitals. When the families of the two decedents are found and notified of the death, their names will be released to the public.   25. Coroner case# 700906896 -- On 10-16-2009, at 11:31 PM, San Bernardino Police Officers respond to a residence in the 300 block of S. Arrowhead in reference to a possible stabbing. Upon arrival, Officers contacted a 19 year old male resident at the location who was wearing a gas mask and appeared agitated. While attempting to gain control of this individual, a conductive energy device was deployed at which time the male became unresponsive. Resuscitative efforts were instituted and the male was transported to St Bernardine's Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on 10-17-2009 at 12:43 AM.   26. Coroner case 700906848 VN: On Thursday, October 15, 2009, at about 6:37 AM, travelers along State Route 395 reported observing a vehicle that had rolled into the desert. Rescue personnel arrived to find that a dark-gray Honda Accord had been traveling northbound, had left the roadway and rolled into the desert on the west side of the highway, ejecting both occupants. San Bernardino County Fire paramedics arrived and confirmed that one of the occupants of the vehicle, Romulus Lee Glenn, a 36 year old resident of Victorville, was dead at the scene. The other occupant was airlifted to a hospital in the San Bernardino Valley. California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. [10/15/09 1533 VN]

  27. Coroner case #700906849--At 12:51 AM on 10/15/2009, a wireless 911 call was received reporting a traffic accident on southbound Interstate 15, 3 miles south of the Nevada State line. The Clark County Fire Department, San Bernardino County Fire Department, Baker Ambulance, and California Highway Patrol responded to the area. The Clark County Fire Department arrived first and searched the area, finding nothing. They contacted the other responding units and canceled them. At 7:06 AM, a road construction worker, discovered the accident and called the California Highway Patrol. A California Highway Patrol officer responded to the scene arriving at 7:40 AM, and confirmed the death. A 2001 Mitsubishi Gallant was traveling southbound on Interstate 15 when it went into the center divide, the driver attempted to return to the roadway, lost control, and rolled the vehicle. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and did not survive. The name of the driver is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.   28. Coroner Case # 700906841: At 11:53 AM on 10/14/2009, a citizen called the Ontario Police Department to report a man with a gun inside a market in the 100 block of West G Street in the city of Ontario. Within minutes, officers arrived at the parking lot and were assessing the situation when the individual walked out of the business. Shortly after walking out of the business, several officers made contact with the man with the gun, later identified as Marco Salgado , a 44 year old male from Palmdale, California, and another individual who was with him. Officers ordered both suspects to put their hands up. The suspect described as the person with the gun did not comply, the gun was seen in his waistband, and he began to reach towards his waistband. One officer fired and struck the suspect. The suspect was later transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he died at 1:05 PM. The Ontario Police Department is investigating the incident.   29. Coroner case # 700906822-- On 15/14/09 at 5:40 AM, Manuel Escobedo Jr., a 24 year old resident of Fontanaleft work driving his 2009 Honda Civic northbound on (in the 10000 block of Business Drive in Fontana at a high rate of speed in the rain. Escobedo, the solo occupant of his vehicle, lost control and traveled over a curb and into a tree. The Honda came to rest against a chain link fence. Escobedo was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:02 AM by paramedics. Fontana Police Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating. [101409 1626 SY]

  30. Coroner Case # 700906818--On 10/14/09 at 4:41 Seilose Uele Kisepi, a 47 year old resident of Pomona was the right front passenger in a 2009 Kia Rio. She and her husband were traveling eastbound on the Interstate 10 just east of Vineyard Ave. in Ontario (in the rain) when her husband lost control of the vehicle and hit the center median. The vehicle then broadsided by a Dodge pickup truck and again by a Buick. Kisepi was extricated from the vehicle and transported by paramedics to the San Antonio Community Hospital Emergency Room. She was pronounced dead at 5:48 AM. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. [101409 1548 SY]

  31. Coroner case #700906779 – On October 12, 2009 at 4:49 pm, Raymond Hill, a 55 year old resident of Yucaipa, was found pinned between the arm (or “boom”) of the forklift and the left front tire at Pharaoh's Lost Kingdom amusement park in Redlands. Hill was an employee of the park. Paramedics arrived and transported Hill to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead at 5:37 pm.   32. Coroner case # 700906765: On Monday, October 12, 2009 at 1:54 AM, Sheriff's deputies were conducting extra patrol near the Karma nightclub during a concert. When the concert ended, the crowd spilled out into the parking lot and an adjacent strip mall. Deputies heard gunfire coming from the crowd. Several concert patrons directed deputies to a grassy area on the east side of Cottonwood Avenue. Deputies found Camyone Williams aka Camyone Anderson age 18 a resident of Avondale, Arizona with upper body trauma. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.   33. Coroner Case #700906748 -- On 10/11/2009 at 12:53 AM, Fernando Perez Preciado, a 32 year old resident of Ontario, was traveling northbound on South Mill Creek in the city of Ontario on a 2002 Harley Davison motorcycle. Preciado failed to stop at the "T" intersection of South Mill Creek and East Lytle Creek Road, at which time he continued straight forward and struck a tree. Paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed Preciado dead of his injuries at 1:05 AM. The Ontario Police Department is investigating the accident. [101109 0650 TC]

  34. Coroner Case #700906746 -- On 10/10/09, at 6:27 PM, Franklin Tomkins, a 24 year-old resident of Redlands, was traveling northbound on E. Orange Street, in the city of Redlands, on a 2008 Honda motorcycle when he collided with a 2006 Pontiac G6 at Sun Avenue. Tomkins was transported to Loma Linda Medical Center where he later died at 8:54 PM from injuries sustained in the accident. Redlands Police Department is investigating the accident.   35. Coroner Case #700906726-On 10/10/09 at 5:49 AM, officers from the Redlands Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of La Paloma St. and Palm Ave. after receiving 911 calls regarding a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle. When officers arrived on-scene, they found William Jay Alverson Jr., a 52 year-old resident of Redlands, down in the roadway. Witnesses indicated that Alverson was jogging eastbound on Palm Ave. when he was struck by an eastbound gold 2000 Chevrolet Impala. Paramedics responded to the location and pronounced Alverson dead on-scene at 5:57 AM. An autopsy will be completed later this week to determine the exact cause of death.   36. Coroner case 700906688: Leisa Ann Hurst, a resident of Barstow, was 30 years of age when last seen on January 22, 2009, and was reported missing to the Barstow Police Department following her disappearance. On October 8, 2009, pursuant to a plea bargain, the suspect in her disappearance led investigators to a desert area northeast of Yermo, west of the north Interstate 15 Freeway, along a desert road, where he had buried the remains. The excavation of the grave was completed Friday afternoon. An examination will take place early next week to attempt to confirm the cause of death.   37. Coroner case #700906700--At 4:16 AM on 10/09/2009, a wireless 911 call was received by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reporting a single vehicle rollover at mile marker 110 on Interstate 40. The CHP and Baker Ambulance responded and found Adrian Hindle, a 41 year old resident of El Segundo, dead at the scene. Hindle was the front seat passenger in a 2005 Chevrolet crew cab pickup traveling eastbound on Interstate 40, he was wearing his seatbelt and was not ejected. The female driver and her 10 year old son were airlifted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas for treatment of their injuries. The CHP is investigating the accident. [100909 1225 SY]

  38. Coroner Case #700906698 - On 10/08/2009 at 1556 hours, Deputies from the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department responded to a shots fired call in the 21300 Block of Nisqually Rd. When they arrived they found Brenda Renee Robinson, a 52 year old resident of Apple Valley, down in her residence with gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.   39. Coroner case #700906664 – On Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at approximately 3:43 p.m., Hattie Kaufman, an 85 year old resident of Adelanto, was the passenger in a 2001 Ford Sport Utility Vehicle traveling eastbound on Mojave Drive at Mesa Linda Drive. Witnesses indicated the vehicle sustained a blowout of the rear passenger tire and the vehicle went out of control. The vehicle rolled an undetermined numbers of times ejecting Kaufman from the vehicle. Kaufman was pronounced dead at the scene. San Bernardino Sheriff's Department is investigating the collision.   40. Coroner case 700906641: On Tuesday, October 6, 2009, Luis Enrique Alvarado, a 19 year old resident of Montclair, was the driver and sole occupant of his 2001 Chevrolet pick-up traveling southbound on Etiwanda Ave., approaching Santa Ana Ave. At 11:08 AM his vehicle was observed by witnesses to collide with the rear end of a tractor-trailer rig stopped for a red light in the #2 lane. Paramedics confirmed that Alvarado was dead at the scene. The accident is being investigated by Ontario Police Department. [10/06/09 1707 VN]

  41. Coroner cases 700906595, 700906596 and 700906597-- On 10/4/09 at 7:50 PM deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff's responded to a 9-1-1 call of a shooting in the 4500 block of Begonia Rd. in Phelan. 41 year old Adam Owen, 40 year old Robert Light and 45 year old Angela Leird, all of Phelan were found in the roadway with gunshot wounds to the upper body. All were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Homicide is investigating the incident.   42. Coroner case # 700906588— On Sunday, October 4, 2009, at 1105 PM, Andre Revis, age 48 a resident of Rancho Mirage was driving eastbound on highway 58 near Hinkley Road in Hinkley when for unknown reasons he swerved into the path of a semi tractor trailer and collided head on with the vehicle. The Revis was pronounced dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. Updated ID information [090509 0555 GB]

  43. Coroner case #700906585 – On Sunday, October 04, 2009 at 6:50 PM, the California Highway Patrol responded to a traffic collision on eastbound Interstate 10 West of Cedar Ave., in Bloomington. The driver of the 2009 Nissan Sentra lost control of the Sentra. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Victoria Rimolo, a 44 year-old resident of Fontana, was the right front passenger in the Sentra. Rimolo was transported from the scene to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 7:47 PM from injuries sustained in the collision. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. [090509 0133 GB]

Coroner case #700906560--On 10-3-09 at 10:40 AM, Norman Sidney Pettit Jr., a 41 year old Sun City Resident, was driving a 1998 Ford Taurus eastbound on Interstate 40 near Mile Marker 13 in Daggett when he left the roadway and overturned. CHP and paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene. CHP is investigating the collision. [100309 1430 EM]

Coroner case #700906555—On 10-2-09 at 11:54 PM, Damontay Deron White, age: 17, from Highland was at a party in the 7100 Block of Victoria Avenue in Highland and was shot in the upper body by an unknown person. Paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene a short time later. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Homicide Detail is investigating the incident. [100309 1155 EM]

  46. Coroner case # 700906527-- On 10/1/09 at 3:30PM Frank Carl Hollick, a 52 year old Corona resident was refurbishing his second residence in the 23000 block of Skyland Dr. in Crestline when he fell approximately 30 feet from scaffolding near the chimney. He was transported by Mercy Air to Loma Linda University Medical Center and taken into surgery. At 5:35 PM Hollick was pronounced dead. [100209 0817 SY]

  47. Coroner case #700906508—On 10/1/09 at 12:25 AM Avi Casino security personnel reported seeing a fire in the desert approximately one mile west of the casino. The Mohave Valley Fire Department located a vehicle and travel trailer burning in the rural desert on Fort Mohave Tribal land approximately 50 yards south of Power Line Rd and ½ mile west of Aha Macav Rd. The burned remains of a male adult were located inside the travel trailer. The name will be released when positive identification has been made and next of kin notified. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Bomb Arson Unit is investigating the incident. [100109 1301 SY]

Coroner case #700906454-- On 9/29/09 at 6:36 AM San Bernardino Sheriff's Department Deputies responded to 9-1-1 calls of a disturbance in the 17900 block of Yucca St. in Hesperia involving an armed male firing shots inside the residence. When deputies arrived the male fired shots in the deputies direction. After exiting the residence the male refused to comply with deputies commands and fearing for their safety and of others the deputies fired their duty weapons. Gerald Gustavo Hilton, a 32 year old resident of Hesperia was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy will be performed by the Riverside County Sheriff's Coroner Divsion. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Homicide Detail is investigating the incident. [092909 1644 SY]

  49. Coroner case 700905597- The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department-Coroner Division is asking for public assistance in locating next of kin. On August 23, 2009 the San Bernardino Police Department received a 911 call reporting two males deceased behind the businesses located in the area of Third Street and Waterman Avenue in San Bernardino. One of the men was identified as Rafael Gil Acosta, a 42 year-old male transient. The Coroner Division is attempting to find next of kin for Rafael whose family may reside in Mexico. Coroner case #700705335 - Back on July 11, 2007, Kelly Gene Saunders, a 46 year old resident of San Bernardino, died as the result of a house fire in the 200 block of East 17th Street, in San Bernardino. The Coroner's Division has been unsuccessful in locating his family and is seeking the public's assistance in helping us to find them. If anyone knows of any relatives of Saunders, please contact the Coroner's Division at 909-387-2978 [071707 0358 CN] Family was located and notified of the death. No further assistance is needed.     2. Coroner Case 06-9509DC--The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department-Coroner Division is asking for public assistance. Back on 11/30/2006 Thomas Leroy Barton age 65, died of natural causes at San Antonio Community Hospital. He did not list anyone as his next of kin. He had also used the name of Roy Barton Thomas. He is believed to have been a transient in the Ontario area since 1998. Anyone with information as to his family is urged to contact the Coroner’s Division 909-387-2978. [120906 2025 RK]

Coroner Case #06-9277CW—The Coroner’s Division of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the assistance of the media and public in locating the next of kin for Gilbert Manuel Guzman, age: 53, (DOB:09/01/1953). Guzman died of apparent natural causes, on December 1, 2006, at a friend’s home in the 4000 block of Linson Street, in the city of Adelanto. Coroner Case #06-8824WB—The Coroner’s Division of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the assistance of the media and public in locating the next of kin for Enrique Valenzuela, age: 53, (DOB: 4/21/1953). Back on 11-14-06, he was found dead of apparent natural causes at his home in the 2100 block of W. Ogden Street, San Bernardino. Valenzuela is believed to have a daughter, Xochitl Valenzuela, living in Compton, California. Anyone with information is asked to call The Coroner’s Division at (909) 387-2978. [112906 2227 EM]

    5. Coroner case 06-8806 ML: Back on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at 1:12 PM, a gardener clearing brush behind a business in the 1300 block of E. D Street saw a body near the back fence of the property and contacted the Ontario Police Department. Officers responded to the scene and confirmed the presence of a dead male adult with upper body trauma. The Ontario Police Department Homicide Detail is investigating the circumstances of the death. UPDATE (11/22/06): All attempts to identify the decedent have been unsuccessful and he has been designated John Doe #36-06. The body is described as being that of a Hispanic male, appearing to be in his late teens to twenties, 5’4”, 113 lbs, with short black hair. He had multiple tattoos, including the following: A sunburst design with a heart in the middle to the upper right chest, a mask (clown?) to the upper left arm, "Mikdalia" to the left forearm, and a skull and crossed bones to the upper right arm. One finger on his left hand had been amputated at the knuckle. Some people in the area knew him as “Marco Antonio Aguello Perez,” possibly from Chiapas.
