- Coroner case #700805249 -- On 7-4-08, at 12:30 AM, Rialto Police responded to the 1100 block of W. Cimarron Street in Rialto on a "Male Down" call. Perry Ford, Jr., a 26 year-old male resident of Rialto, sustained upper body trauma and was pronounced dead at 12:33 AM. Rialto Police, Homicide Unit, is conducting an investigation. [070408 1120 TC]
- Coroner case #700805201 -- On 07/02/08 at 7:10 PM, the California Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle collision on southbound Interstate 15, approximately .1 miles north of mile marker 113.51 in the Baker area. For an unknown reason, a northbound Volvo 960 sedan collided into the rear of a Honda Civic and lost control. The Volvo crossed the center divider and went into the path of an oncoming semi tractor trailer. CHP officers arrived and found Kuisop Oh, an 83 year old resident of South Pasadena who was the driver of the Volvo. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Oh was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. [070308 0752 SY]
- Coroner case #700805144—On 6/30/08 at approximately 10:32 AM, Rialto Police Department received a 9-1-1 call reporting a pedestrian had been struck by a train along the Metrolink railroad tracks at Eucalyptus Avenue in Rialto. Police and fire personnel responded and a 46 year old male, most recently of Rialto, was pronounced dead at the scene. Rialto Police Department is investigating this incident. The name will be released following notification of next-of-kin. [063008 1652 SY]
- Coroner case #700805136-- On June 30, 2008 at approximately 3:00 AM, Barstow Police Department responded to the area of East Main St. at the westbound I-40 overpass in Barstow regarding a single vehicle traffic collision that caught fire. An unidentified White male was pronounced dead from his injuries at the scene by paramedics. The Barstow Police Department is investigating the collision. - Coroner case #700705335 - Back on July 11, 2007, Kelly Gene Saunders, a 46 year old resident of San Bernardino, died as the result of a house fire in the 200 block of East 17th Street, in San Bernardino. The Coroner's Division has been unsuccessful in locating his family and is seeking the public's assistance in helping us to find them. If anyone knows of any relatives of Saunders, please contact the Coroner's Division at 909-387-2978 [071707 0358 CN]
- Coroner Case 06-9509DC--The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department-Coroner Division is asking for public assistance. Back on 11/30/2006 Thomas Leroy Barton age 65, died of natural causes at San Antonio Community Hospital. He did not list anyone as his next of kin. He had also used the name of Roy Barton Thomas. He is believed to have been a transient in the Ontario area since 1998. Anyone with information as to his family is urged to contact the Coroner’s Division 909-387-2978. [120906 2025 RK]
- Coroner Case #06-9277CW—The Coroner’s Division of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the assistance of the media and public in locating the next of kin for Gilbert Manuel Guzman, age: 53, (DOB:09/01/1953). Guzman died of apparent natural causes, on December 1, 2006, at a friend’s home in the 4000 block of Linson Street, in the city of Adelanto. Guzman is believed to have lived previously in the Los Angeles area. Anyone with information is asked to call The Coroner’s Division at (909) 387-2978. [120206 2255 EM]
- Coroner Case #06-8824WB—The Coroner’s Division of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the assistance of the media and public in locating the next of kin for Enrique Valenzuela, age: 53, (DOB: 4/21/1953). Back on 11-14-06, he was found dead of apparent natural causes at his home in the 2100 block of W. Ogden Street, San Bernardino. Valenzuela is believed to have a daughter, Xochitl Valenzuela, living in Compton, California. Anyone with information is asked to call The Coroner’s Division at (909) 387-2978. [112906 2227 EM]
- Coroner case 06-8806 ML: Back on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at 1:12 PM, a gardener clearing brush behind a business in the 1300 block of E. D Street saw a body near the back fence of the property and contacted the Ontario Police Department. Officers responded to the scene and confirmed the presence of a dead male adult with upper body trauma. The Ontario Police Department Homicide Detail is investigating the circumstances of the death.
UPDATE (11/22/06): All attempts to identify the decedent have been unsuccessful and he has been designated John Doe #36-06. The body is described as being that of a Hispanic male, appearing to be in his late teens to twenties, 5’4”, 113 lbs, with short black hair. He had multiple tattoos, including the following: A sunburst design with a heart in the middle to the upper right chest, a mask (clown?) to the upper left arm, "Mikdalia" to the left forearm, and a skull and crossed bones to the upper right arm. One finger on his left hand had been amputated at the knuckle. Some people in the area knew him as “Marco Antonio Aguello Perez,” possibly from Chiapas.
