Liability
Section Description
The County’s Risk Management Department self-insures and
self-administers its public liability program.
This program was established in 1978 to effectively process
public liability claims.
The
administration of the program is accomplished by the Liability
Claims Section. This
staff consists of well-trained claims representatives (adjusters)
with commercial insurance company experience and expertise in
handling public entity claims.
All
County departments are covered under the provisions of the program,
in addition to the Flood Control District, Board Governed Special
Districts and County Service Areas.
