Communicable Disease Reporting
The Epidemiology Program performs surveillance, disease control and educational activities designed to reduce or control the incidence of infectious disease.
The program investigates and receives reports of communicable diseases from the medical community mandated for reporting in California. Reporting must be timely
for surveillance to be effective.
