Property Values Hit New Record High

Housing values continue to rise. In 2005, housing prices in San Bernardino County were up 31.7 percent over the prior year.

However, even with this increase, home prices in San Bernardino County remain the lowest in Southern California. The median home costs $220 per square foot in San Bernardino County compared to $358 in Los Angeles County and $403 in Orange County.

Last year assessed values reached a record $126.5 billion and rose at the largest rate in 15 years, according to data from the San Bernardino County Assessor’s office.
