Family Fun Day: Rabbits and Their Relatives
Event date: November 1, 2014
Visitors can meet “Rabbits and Their Relatives” at the San Bernardino County Museum on Saturday, November 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This Family Fun Day includes gallery cart conversations, crafts, games, and story book reading, along with the opportunity to meet the new resident rabbit in the Exploration Station. All activities are included with paid admission.
“While they share similar features, rabbits and rodents are as different as dogs and cats,” said Jolene Redvale, the museum’s curator of education. “Visitors will explore the role of rabbits in their environments, why rabbits make good pets, and the big idea behind those big incisors. The day’s events offer something for the whole family.”
The San Bernardino County Museum is at 2024 Orange Tree Lane, at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 am to 5pm. General admission is $10 (adult), $8 (military or senior), $7 (student), and $5 (child aged 5 to 12). Children under five and Museum Association members are admitted free. Parking is free. For more information, visit
