Fall Into Fun at the County Museum
The second in a series of Fall Into Fun family days at the San Bernardino County Museum explores “birds of a feather” on Saturday, October 12 from noon to 4 p.m. Activities are included with paid museum admission, and no reservations are necessary. The program is suitable for all ages.
“Fall Into Fun days are designed to engage families in fun learning activities,” said Jolene Redvale, the museum’s curator of education. “We’ll have art making, story time, and animal encounters. We’ll play with history, and of course there will be some surprising stuff, too.”
Also scheduled in the series are “California Indian Toys and Tools” on October 19 and, on November 9, a day for the dogs: “Do Canids Have Canines?”
Visitors can also help support education programs at the museum with the purchase of a reusable, durable, decorate-it-yourself canvas bag. The bags can be purchased at the Museum Store for $5 and customized with drawings, color, and stencils at education division activity tables.
The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 am to 5pm. General admission is $10 (adult), $8 (military or senior), $7 (student), and $5 (child aged 5 to 12). Children under five and Museum Association members are admitted free. Parking is free. For more information, visit www.sb countymuseum.org. The museum is accessible to persons with disabilities. If assistive listening devices or other auxiliary aids are needed in order to participate in museum exhibits or programs, requests should be made through Museum Visitor Services at least three business days prior to your visit. Visitor Services’ telephone number is 909-307-2669.
