Insectival at Victor Valley Museum
Get bugged! Experience a hands-on journey into the world of bugs when Insectival comes to the Victor Valley Museum on Saturday, August 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Explore the fascinating world of arthropods – insects, arachnids, myriapods, and more! All activities are included with paid museum admission.
Enjoy fun family activities including insect games and take home creepy-crawly craft creations, Believe It or Not bug trivia, and insect stories and activities. Meet live insects all day in the multipurpose room.
Scheduled activities also include Cockroach Races, when you can root for your favorite Madagascar hissing cockroach. Learn what it takes to be an insect, an arachnid, or other kind of bug. Meet some live bugs up close and personal. These “All About Bugs” programs, good for all ages, are presented by San Bernardino County Museum educators. And join us for some wild reading adventures during “Read-A-Bug.” Bugs make appearances as literary heroes with some exciting new titles and some personal favorites. Related movement and observation activities help round out the experience.
