County Museum lecture cancelled
A lecture by San Bernardino County Museum Senior Curator of Geological Sciences Kathleen Springer, originally scheduled for January 20, has been cancelled.
Her talk was slated to give background information for an upcoming Museum Association field trip she will lead to Cajon Pass on Saturday, January 26. The field trip will take place as scheduled; Springer will incorporate information from the planned lecture into discussions during the excursion.
The trip, “Cajon Pass: Faults, Fossils, and Fun,” co-led by Curator of Paleontology Eric Scott, will spend a day exploring 70 million years of rocks and fossils. The cost $70 per person ($60 for a Museum Association member) includes transportation, morning coffee, lunch, water, and light snacks. The full day trip includes some strenuous hiking, over steep, uneven terrain. For reservations, visit the museum’s website at www.sbcounty.gov/museum or call LaWanda Avery-Brown at (909) 307-2669 ext. 225.
The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. For more information, visit www.sb county.gov/museum.
