Indian Toys and Games Family Workshop
8/25/2007 - Indian Toys and Games Family Workshop
Families can enjoy a morning of making and playing traditional Serrano and Cahuilla games at a special workshop, ?Indian Toys and Games,? at the San Bernardino County Museum on Saturday, August 25.
?Our workshops are designed so family members can work and learn together,? said Jolene Redvale, Curator of Education. ?This is how the Indian people in our area taught us.?
Participants will make several traditional games and learn how to play them. Projects include walnut dice and a popular stick-and-ring game. All ages are welcome.
The workshop takes place on Saturday, August 25 from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost of $5 for one person or $10 for a whole family includes museum admission.
