The Use of Museum Collections

 

  • Permanent exhibition are primarily based on a museum’s collection and on view indefinitely. Temporary or changing exhibitions deal with other topics related to a museum’s educational mission and goals.

  • Cultural and natural heritage collections are important for establishing
    land use criteria and can be integrated into regional planning efforts.

  • Natural history collections are the cornerstone of biodiversity for a region.

  • Museum collections together form a huge library of information about cultures, and their histories, physical aspects of earth, what organisms have lived and are living on Earth.
