2/7/2010 - Museum to Offer Half-price on First Sunday in February
Visitors can experience the San Bernardino County Museum at a reduced, half-off admission on Sunday, February 7. Adult admission will be $4; senior and military $3, student age 12 to 17 $2.50, and child age 5 to 12 $2. Children under age 5 and Museum Association members are admitted free of charge.
Museum visitors will enjoy a special staff lecture, “Darwin and Design,” by Curator of Paleontology Eric Scott at 2 p.m. in the Fisk Gallery. They will also see exhibits of cultural and natural history relating to inland southern California and our southwest, including geology and paleontology, anthropology and archaeology, history, and the natural sciences.
The Exploration Station live animal gallery will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Outdoor exhibits include native plant and cactus gardens, a steam locomotive and caboose, mining and lumbering equipment, heritage orange groves, and sculpture.
The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is free. For more information about museum programs, exhibits, and free and reduced-admission days, visit
