The San Bernardino Valley is temperate with about 15 inches
of rain annually and temperatures ranging from the 30s to the
60s in January and from the 50s to high 90s in July.
The San
Bernardino Mountains are a popular winter sports area.
Geography Area: 20,160 square miles (51,961 square kilometers). About 90% of the county
is desert; the remainder consists of the San Bernardino Valley
and the San Bernardino Mountains.
