Verizon Foundation
and the San Bernardino County Library
have teamed up to
provide Adult Learners
with access to Palm technology to help increase literacy skills.

Thanks to a
generous grant from
Verizon Foundation,
the HI-Dare Adult
Literacy Coalition
was able to purchase
100 Palm Handhelds
for Tutors and Learners throughout the County.

Tutors and Learners
will attend technology trainings to learn to use their Palms and by the end of the program will
be able to keep their calendar and contacts
in their Palm, journal in
the Palm using Microsoft Word to Go and the voice recorder, take photos, and use literacy enhancing games and puzzles.

The San Bernardino County Library
