LEARN HOW TO PLAY AN INSTRUMENT!

Want to learn how to play an instrument?  Willie Cockrell and the Family Orchestra will be offering free music lessons!  Come and learn how to play the violin, guitar, viola, cello, flute, drums or the keyboard!  This program will be held at the Newton T. Bass Apple Valley Library Community Room

every Saturday from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. 

January 5, 2013-June 1, 2013. 

Ages 3-104 are welcome to participate. 

January 5th is the sign up date.  Instruments are provided for free!

Hi-DARE ADULT LITERACY PROGRAM

Free tutoring for adults! Do you need help with reading, writing, spelling or basic math? Do you want to volunteer as a literacy tutor? Computer literacy classes are also available.  Please contact the literacy specialist for additional information at 760-240-7739.


GENEALOGY ASSISTANCE

Members of the Genealogy Club are available at the Apple Valley library to offer assistance with genealogy research.  They are in the branch Tuesdays, 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. and Thursdays, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon. There is also a reference genealogy collection available.  Please call the branch to confirm that the genealogy volunteers are in the library, 760-247-2022.
