FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT

Come and enjoy a newly released family movie on our 62" Big Screen TV!  Show starts at 4:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Mondays each month (holidays excluded).  Please call for details about the movies each month, 760-247-2022.


Learning Time @ the Library

Thursday, 1 p.m.  For children 3 to 6 and their adults.

This interactive program includes stories, crafts, play time and a song circle.  It is an excellent opportunity for children and adults alike to become comfortable at their library.


TWEENIES

This program is for parents/caregivers and babies from 4 to 24 mo.  The class allows for social interaction between the children and is an opportunity for parents to network; the class is approximately 30 minutes long and finishes with a song circle.


EARLY PLAY DATE

Mondays, 10 a.m.  For children birth to 5 and their adults

The program includes story time, a related craft, play time and closes with a song circle.  This is an opportunity for parents to network and for their children to enjoy the library.

Hi-DARE Adult Literacy Program

Free tutoring for adults! Do you need help with reading, writing, spelling or basic math? Do you want to volunteer as a literacy tutor? Computer literacy classes are also available.  Please contact the literacy specialist, Larry Weisz, for additional information at 760-240-7739.

 


Apple Valley Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Apple Valley Library are essential in ensuring that our library is able to provide both quality collections and outstanding programs for our patrons.  If you are interested in becoming involved, please contact the library for more information, 760-247-2022.


Genealogy Assistance

Members of the Genealogy Club are available at the Apple Valley library to offer assistance with genealogy research.  They are in the branch Tuesdays, 1-3 p.m. and Thursdays, 10-12.  There is also a reference genealogy collection available.  Please call the branch to confirm that the genealogy volunteers are in the library, 760-247-2022.


Library Book Club

Teens Arts and Crafts Club

Wednesdays,  3:30-4:30 Ages 12-18

Teen Movie

Come enjoy a newly released movie on our 62" big screen TV! Movies will be shown on the first Tuesday of every month @ 4:30pm Admission is FREE and there is free popcorn provided

Movies are rated PG 13
Children under the age of 13 must have written parent's permission to attend

Every Tuesday from 3:30-4:30

Learn how to create a Myspace account or give your Myspace an extreme makeover! Space is limited.  For ages 14 -18.
