Happy Birthday to the Library!
The library will be having a 1 year anniversary celebration on Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 1 to 4 pm!
Special crafts, activities, entertainment, and a treasure hunt!
First 250 children will Recieve a special birthday book.
Birthday cookies & lemonade will be served.

Young Adult Thursdays at 4:00 pm
Every 1st through 4th Thursday of the month, the library will be hosting various events at 4:00 pm for young adults. These programs consist of DJ and Breakdance sessions, Video Game Nights, Information Literacy Workshops, and Video Game Tournaments. Board of Literary Teens publishes 4Head Magazine
Need some volunteer hours, a creative outlet, or publishing experience? Then join the Board of Literary Teens and help publish 4Head Magazine. The magazine takes non-fiction, short stories, poetry, and pictures submitted by teens in our community and publishes the entries in the magazine. They judge submissions, design and format the magazine. Make a difference in your Community! If your interested call Melvin Racelis at 909-590-5380 ext. 5905, email at chsys@lib.sbcounty.gov or simply get a volunteer application at the adult reference desk and put that you are interested in 4head.

4Head Literary Teen Magazine Contest
Enter to win a gift card! Show off your poetry, art work, short stories or non-fiction. Get creative! Submit your entry to a library staff member. Include your name, phone number, school and grade. Participants must be in Jr. High or High School. Entries will be published in 4Head Magazine after approval. Winners will be announced sometime in Spring. Entries can also be emailed to chsys@lib.sbcounty.gov. Contact Melvin Racelis at 909-590-5380 ext. 5905 for more information.

Flowetic Open Mic
Come express yourself through poetry, spoken word, song lyrics, or just read your favorite poems or lyrics at our open mic night every last Wednesday of the month in the Conference room at 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
