Mother Goose on the Loose is an award-winning program that combines music, movement, visual literacy, and language development to help children get ready to read. For children ages 0-3 years and their parent. Sign-ups required at the Children's Reference Desk.

Mature Driver Education Class

Mondays at 10:30am

Study for the California DMV written exam!  Watch videos, take sample tests, and discuss the laws as written in teh DMV handbook.  We also cover senior driving issues.  For seniors only.

English Conversation Class

Tuesdays at 11:30am (conference room)

Enhance your English!  Join us for a fun English improvement and conversation class.  Participants take turns telling their stories in English.

Senior Computer Class

Every Tuesday & Friday at 11am (Computer Lab)

Subjects rotate every class.

Spelling and Phonics

Tuesdays at 6:30pm

Covers spelling rules, phonics, word endings, and beginnings.

Grammar Success!

Wednesdays at 6pm! (Conference Room)

Grammar for adult learners aged 18 and up.

Citizen Test Prep Class

Thursdays 6:30pm- 8pm (Starting July 12th)

Learn how to become a U.S. Citizen.  Free 6 week course.

Volunteer as an Adult Literacy Tutor

You an positively impact the life of an adult learner by helping him or her improve reading.  New tutors must attend orientation and training prior to being matched with a learner.

Teen Tuesday Origami Club

Every Third Tuesday of the Month at 3:30pm (Conference Room)

Learn how to fold basic origami shapes.  Share your own origami knowledge!

Chess Club

Every Friday at 4:00pm (Community Room)

Come and play chess!  You can learn from more experienced players or discuss your strategies.  Bring your own chess set if you have one.

DJ/Breakdance (bboy/bgirl) Session

Open turn tables and dance floor.  Every 1st Tuesday at 3:30pm in the Community Room.

Video Game Club

Play Wii with your friends.  Every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 3:30 in the Community Room. 

Origami Club

Learn how to fold basic shapes, and share some of your own Origami tips.  Every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 3:30pm.

Video Game Tournament

Come and compete in Super Smash Bros Brawl.  Every 4th Tuesday of the month at 3:30pm.

Toddler Boot Camp

Mondays & Tuesdays at 11:30am (Community Room)

Come twirl, sing, and clap with us!  This program is designed for walkers to 3 years and their parent/caregiver.  Due to our high volume of participants, we ask that you limit your attendance to one Toddler Boot Camp session per week.

Family Story Time

Thursdays at 4:00pm

Our program incorporates educational songs,story telling and a craft for all ages! It will be held in the Children's Area during the month of September. 

Playtime

Every Friday at 11:30am

Playtime encourages learning!  this program is for both caregivers and children ages 0-4.  Come meet some new friends and enjoy our educational toys!

Let's sing, rhyme, and move together!  This program is designed for babies ages 0-3 years old and their parent/caregiver. 

Tailwaggers

Every Monday at 3:30pm & 1st and 3rd Friday at 3:30pm

Come to the Children's Area to read with Marley the therapy dog!  This program builds ilteracy skills and confidence for shy readers.

Adult Computer Class

This is a very basic class to learn how to use the computer, e-mail, simple internet searches, terms used in computing, and when to call the repairman. Every Thursday at 6:30pm.
