Do
you…
Like
books?
Enjoy
working with adults and/or children?
Like
libraries?
Need community service/volunteer hours?
Would
you like to…
Develop
new interests? Make
new friends?
Teach someone to read? Make a difference in your community?
If
you answered YES to any of the above, then we encourage you to consider
becoming a volunteer at your local
branch of the San Bernardino County Library.
The SBCL volunteer corps, which ranges
in age from 10 to 90+, currently includes
more than 1,500 members.
With
a wide range of assignments, from shelving to sorting books, from
story time
to computer training, from tutoring
in our literacy program to assisting with children's
programming, your local County branch
library has a volunteer position just right
for you!
All
volunteers receive a thorough orientation and training, and work
schedules will
be arranged according to your availability.
In
April of each year, which is National Volunteer Recognition Month,
SBCL
volunteers are formally honored at
special events held in each of our 28 branch
libraries.
