San Bernardino
County Library's new Serrano Branch Library is located at Serrano
High School in Phelan. The project is a collaborative effort, and
became possible with funding and contributions from the San Bernardino
County Board of Supervisors, the Snowline Unified Joint School District
and the San Bernardino County Library. The County library added
approximately 5,000 items in a variety of formats to the existing
collection for the grand opening on October 22, 2002. This is the
County Library's second joint use facility on a high school campus,
the first being located at Kaiser High School in Fontana.
Children are invited to attend Story Time every Thursday at 4:00 pm followed by “Crafts with Vickie” at 4:30 p.m.
“Weekend Wags”, an opportunity for children of all ages to read to specially trained therapy dogs, is held on the first Saturday of every month at 11:00 am.
