Children’s Book Week at the Joshua Tree Branch Library
Children ages 3 through 12 years are invited to celebrate Children’s Book Week at the Joshua Tree Branch Library. Beginning November 7th and continuing through November 18th all children who visit the library and check out books will receive 5 tickets for the Children’s Book Week drawing, a bookmark, and pencil.
Children in 4th, 5th and 6th grades who use Live Homework Help in the library during these two weeks will also receive tickets to the drawing. Live Homework Help is an online site where students in 4th through 12th grades can sign in through the county library’s homepage for free and receive homework help from certified prescreened tutors.
On Monday November 21st two $25.00 gift certificates for books, 3 mini posters designed by children’s authors and other prizes will be awarded by the drawing.
Imagine, this year’s theme for Children’s Book Week, encourages children to experience the world of imagination through reading everyday.
Books can be checked out of the Joshua Tree Branch Library from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday.
