pay leave for the calendar year (pay period 1 through 26 or 27, when applicable). For
bargaining units that participate in the Perfect Attendance

period 26 or 27, when applicable, of the same year. Employees have the
choice of opting for Perfect Attendance Leave (PAL) or an annual Health
Club membership.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why didn’t I qualify for Perfect Attendance?
If an employee does not receive a Perfect Attendance notification letter and election form it is best for the employee to check first with the department payroll clerk. The employee can also contact EHaP for assistance.
I wanted the health club membership, why did I get the PAL time?
If an employee does not complete the paperwork for the health club membership by the deadline, the employee automatically receives PAL time. It is important to complete the election form by the specified date in order to receive the health club membership.
How long do I have to use my PAL time?
Employees have until the end of pay period 26 to use their PAL time. If the employee does not use the leave by that date, the time is forfeited.
