Frequently Asked Questions
What areas can the EAP address?
The EAP can help you with issues such as alcohol and drug abuse, crisis situations, emotional difficulties, family conflicts, stress, grief, and other problems that affect your work or home life. Our EAP also provides educational and consulting assistance with financial, legal, and tax advisory issues as well as monetary and lifestyle concerns related to retirement.
Is the EAP confidential?
Yes - if an employee chooses to contact the EAP, no one is informed of the employee’s participation. If a supervisor refers an employee, only attendance and compliance are reported with the employee’s written consent.
What does the EAP cost?
Services are free to employees and members of their household. If services are required beyond the three free sessions, the EAP counselor can make a referral to the employee’s health plan, or other affordable resource.
