Neil Slawson begin his law enforcement career at
Claremont Colleges and later transferred as a police officer with Montclair Police
Department. After leaving Montclair Police Department, he continued his career at
Coachella Police Department from 1985-to-1998, were he was promoted to the rank of
Sergeant in 1992. He attended California Poly Tech in Pomona, California receiving
and is completing his police science degree at the San Bernardino Valley College. a degree
in Police Science. Neil joined the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department as a
Training Specialist I, where he is a Driving Instructor in Emergency Vehicle Operations,
Driving Simulator instructor and S.M.E. instructor.
Neil has served as a traffic officer for 2 years and 6 years as a traffic
sergeant. He has specialized experience in the fields of Basic, Intermediate and
Advanced Accident Investigative courses as well as Traffic Accident Reconstruction, and
Advanced Accident Reconstruction from the University of Florida.
Neil has testified as an expert witness in both criminal and civil trials
in traffic accident reconstruction and the packaging and transportation of illegal
controlled substances.
