The Desert Sierra Health Network has created a Worksite Wellness Toolkit to assist companies and organizations that are interested in the well being of their employees and dedicated to improving health at the workplace.
Are you interested in protecting the health of your employees?
Can you attend a two-hour training session?
Is your business or organization located in San Bernardino, Riverside, or Inyo County and meets one of the following criteria?

 |
Is 50% or more of the population you serve located in the worksite’s census tract and are at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level? (This information can be found using the California Nutrition Network GIS Map Viewer, www.cnngis.org ) |
 |
Do 50% or more of your employees at the worksite make $34,872.50 or less per year for a family of four? |
Unhealthy workers require more medical care, take more
sick days and are less productive on the job. This cost is increasingly borne by California’s employers who see
their insurance costs and workers’ compensation
premiums go up as productivity declines. Research
shows that improving nutrition and physical activity
helps reduce the prevalence and costs of diet and
physical inactivity related diseases, including heart
disease, hypertension, diabetes and obesity.
The Desert Sierra Health Network, previously known as the
San Bernardino - Riverside Counties Health Collaborative is comprised of individuals, organizations and businesses that support access to healthy eating and physical activity.
