Physical Activity-
Regular physical activity is a necessary component of good health. Chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer
are linked to a sedentary lifestyle. One must take a proactive position about fitness in order to counter environments that
are often conducive to inactivity. Remember to take the
stairs, go for a brisk walk, and make time to exercise for 30 minutes or more on 5 or more days of the week.
The Nutrition Program sponsors several opportunities for community members to join physical activity classes that
are led by professional health educators at no cost.
