Maternal Health

The Maternal Health Program of San Bernardino County is a Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP). It serves the entire County of San Bernardino and has clinics in the cities of Ontario, Chino, Victorville, Fontana, and San Bernardino.
As a CPSP provider it provides enhanced medical services to women from conception through two months postpartum. These enhanced services include assessment and counseling by a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a Social Worker. An RD counsels all patients classified as high risk and does at least one follow-up visit on all patients coming to the clinic. CPSP services have been shown to reduce the low birth weight rate by one third and cut NICU costs almost in half.
