HIV/AIDS

The AIDS Program offers EIP clinical services in four sites throughout the county for HIV infected residents. Services offered include adult and pediatric medical examination, evaluation and treatments, x-ray, laboratory services, psychosocial evaluation and crisis intervention, immunizations, health education, family planning, nutrition assessment and counseling, housing benefits, TB skin testing, dental care, and assistance with obtaining prescribed medications.

A Registered dietitian with training in HIV nutrition care from the Nutrition Program is available to help provide optimum health care to HIV positive and AIDS patients, and to improve their nutritional status through education and working with the doctors.
Target Population

All ages, all ethnicities, and all
specific populations such as
families, homeless persons, low-income, low-literate, migrant workers,
underinsured and uninsured persons.
The Program:
Provides programmatic materials such as health educational materials on HIV
Collaborates with the Inland AIDS Project, Foothill AIDS project, Desert AIDS Project.
