Restaurant Program, menu items must contain:

Less than 30% of calories from fat,
|
|
 |
Less than 125 mg. of cholesterol, and
|
|
 |
Less than 1200 mg. of sodium.

At the restaurant, ask for:

 |
Meat, poultry, or fish to be broiled, grilled, baked, steamed or poached rather than fried or sauteed. Remove skin and extra fat.

 |
Fresh, raw, or steamed vegetables to
accompany your entree.
|
|
 |
Dressings, sauces, and gravies to be served on the side.
|
|
 |
Steamed (warm) soft corn tortillas in place of fried chips. |
|
 |
A take home box. Take half of the meal home to enjoy the next day. |
