Restaurants:

To quality for the Better For You!
Restaurant Program, menu items must contain:
Less than 30% of calories from fat,
Less than 125 mg. of cholesterol, and
Less than 1200 mg. of sodium.
Restaurant owners and managers
who want to participate in the program can call the Nutrition Program at
(909) 387-6317.

At the restaurant, ask for:

Meat, poultry, or fish to be broiled, grilled, baked, steamed or poached rather than fried or sauteed. Remove skin and extra fat.
Fresh, raw, or steamed vegetables to
accompany your entree.
Dressings, sauces, and gravies to be served on the side.
Steamed (warm) soft corn tortillas in place of fried chips.
A take home box. Take half of the meal home to enjoy the next day.
