Mike Raihle is the County Surveyor. His areas of responsibility include the Office and Field Divisions which reviews and approves subdivision maps within the county areas and certain cities by contract; reviews and approves Professional Land Surveyor record of surveys and corner records; prepares reviews and approves district boundaries for LAFCO, Special Districts, County School Districts, and other jurisdictional boundaries as required by state law; maintains the geographic index for all maps recorded within the county and the public research center for obtaining survey records; He is responsible for the Field Division which performs boundary, design and construction surveys for county departments and districts; performs geodetic control surveys providing survey monuments for private survey and engineering firms for land survey projects; perpetuates controlling survey monuments for county construction projects; He also maintains the county GIS Parcel Basemap accuracy and spatial integrity.
