Mazin Kasey is the Deputy Director over Transportation. His areas of responsibilities include the Transportation Planning Division, which is responsible for developing and managing the County road CIP program, developing and managing development impact fees, coordination with San Bernardino Association of Governments, project planning and budget coordination for the transportation function; the Transportation Design Division, which prepares plans and specifications for the construction of Public Works Transportation improvement projects; the Transportaion Division, which is responsible for maintaining the roads in the County roads maintained system; the Traffic Division, which designs signal systems for intersections, maintains traffic control device inventories, maintains the road book and road system maps, collects pertinent traffic information and maintains accident statistics; and the Freeway Study Team, which coordinates special projects with CalTrans, FHWA and other jurisdictions.
