Paws Pet Ranch animals ready for release or adoption
Animals seized by San Bernardino County Animal Care and Control from the Paws Pet Ranch in Morongo Valley on June 22 and 24 are available to be released to their identified owners or for adoption by public or approved rescue group partners.

August is National Breastfeeding Month
San Bernardino County, Department of Public Health’s Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and Baby’s Optimal Nutrition with Ultimate Support (BONUS) programs will be participating in several community and family friendly events planned throughout the county as part of National Breastfeeding Month in August. Events will include a resource fair, Milk Bank drives, and “The Global Big Latch On” all being organized by the Inland Empire Breastfeeding Coalition (IEBFC).

County issues Heat Advisory, high heat temperatures expected this weekend
Dr. Maxwell Ohikhuare Health Officer for San Bernardino County has issued another excessive heat warning for high temperatures today and through this coming weekend. Temperatures are expected to be above 105°F for the Inland Valley areas and up to 110°F for the high deserts. The mountain areas below 6000 feet will see temperatures up to 102°F.

Public Health Zika Update
San Bernardino County Department of Public Health (DPH) has confirmed five cases of travel-associated Zika within the county as of July 15, 2016. There have been no locally acquired Zika infections in San Bernardino County. All confirmed Zika cases in California are associated with international travel.
