I need to get my food worker's card. How can I do that?
There are 2 ways to get your card. (1) You may take the course online at www.sbcounty.gov/dehs. Print and fill out the worksheet and study it, then come to a testing site to take the test. (2) You may watch the course on DVD, print and fill out the worksheet and study it, then come to a testing site to take the test. The card is valid for 3 years.

2.
What is the cost to get my food worker's card?
The fee to take the test is $10 and upon successfully passing the test, an additional fee of $10 will be collected to get two (2) Certified food Worker cards.

I'm the owner/manager of a restaurant and I would like to have a food worker's class taught here at my restaurant. Will you come onsite to teach?
San Bernardino County Environmental Health Services (EHS) no longer teaches the food worker class. We will be happy to come onsite and proctor the exam. Your employees will need to take the course either online or by DVD.
After they have filled out and studied the worksheet and are ready for testing, please call Terri Bruington at (909) 387-3866 and schedule a testing date. You must have a minimum of 20 employees.

I took the food worker's class 6 months ago and lost my card. How may I get another one?
If you have your old Certified Food Worker card number and DEHS can verify that the card is valid, you may visit one of our DEHS office locations to request a duplicate card. You will not be required to retake the test but the fee of $10 for the two (2) Certified Food Worker cards will be assessed at the time of your request.
