CHILDREN’S CRISIS RESPONSE TEAM

HOURS:   Monday – Friday 8 AM  to 10 PM

Saturday and Sunday 2 PM to 10 PM

  • The Children’s Crisis Response Team is a community-based program which provides:

  • Mobile crisis response for psychiatric emergencies

  • Case management

  • Intensive follow-up services

  • Relapse prevention

  • The team responds to children and adolescents in the West and East Valley areas of San Bernardino County. Services include:

  • Crisis evaluation and intervention

  • Relapse prevention

  • Linkage and consultation

  • Medication referrals

  • Mental health education

  • Interagency collaboration of crisis services

  • The Children’s Crisis Response Team will:

  • Provide crisis intervention where the child is located.

  • Evaluate children for danger to self and/or others.

  • Facilitate locating psychiatric hospital bed if needed.

  • Provide transportation to psychiatric hospital if it can be done safely and child is appropriate for transportation.

  • Provide follow-up services to link child and family to mental health services.

  • Work with child and caretakers to develop safety and crisis plans.
