HMIS Training

HMIS offers the following types of training (all are 3-hour courses):

HMIS End-User Training
HMIS Report Training

HMIS End-User Training - HMIS basic software training for new users

Prerequisites:

  1. Signed HMIS End-User Agreement form
  2. Willingness to learn HMIS

Topics:

  1. HIPAA Rules and Regulations
  2. Client Look Up
  3. Client Entry
  4. Client Demographics
  5. Program Entry
  6. Milestones and Activities
  7. Bed Assignment7
  8. Program Exit

Persons who have not attended this training will be unable to access the HMIS database.

HMIS Training

HMIS Outcomes Training
 

HMIS Report Training – to be able to run reports from HMIS to obtain information on your agency or program's clients for grant reporting and other purposes
Prerequisites/requirements: 

  1. Attended previous End-User Training
  2. Executive Director, Program Director/Manager or designated staff

Topics:

  1. How to run management reports
  2. How to run application reports
  3. How to run Adhoc (customize) report

Designated staff will be granted running reports rights after completing this course on approval of their agency's HMIS Agency Administrator.
