Agency Description:

The agency provides services to improve the lives of those affected by or at risk of HIV/AIDS through the following programs: Case management, family support, mental health and substance abuse counseling, housing assistance, food and transportation assistance, and education and outreach.

Program: Housing Assistance Program

Program Description: Housing services are provided to referred clients who need assistance locating emergency, transitional or permanent housing, and/or who need assistance with rental, mortgage or utility payments to maintain or secure housing. Referrals are available to other subsidized housing programs and the homeless prevention program. Budgeting and benefits counseling classes are also available for FAP clients.

FAP's Housing Department is the Central Coordinating Agency for Housing Opportunities for People With AIDS (HOPWA) for San Bernardino County. Since 1998, Foothill AIDS Project (FAP) has been serving HIV/AIDS clients who are homeless or at risk for homelessness living in eastern Los Angeles County and throughout the County of San Bernardino.
