Rideshare Rewards

Cash in Hand

We salute our employees who participate in Rideshare Programs and we like to reward them, accordingly. But first, we must know you're out there.

$2 Incentive Start-Up for New Rideshare Participants: If you are new to ridesharing (you have not participated in a ridesharing arrangement for the last 90 days), you may be eligible for the special start up incentive program. Under this program, you may earn $2 per day for every day that you rideshare in any of the following transportation modes: carpool, vanpool, public transit, bicycling, walking, or telecommuting for the first 90 days in the program. You may enroll and track your commute on-line by clicking [ Start Up Incentive Program ] or you may download and submit the [ Start Up Incentive Program Enrollment & Incentive Claim Form. ] The Commuter Services staff are here to help you cash in on your rideshare efforts.

Rideshare Plus Card: After completing your initial 3 months of Ridesharing, you are now eligible to obtain a Rideshare Plus Card. These are like "membership" cards entitling you to discounts from over 500 merchants and vendors in the Inland Empire area. If you have been ridesharing for 3 months or more and do not have this card, contact Commuter Services at (909) 387-9640 to obtain an application.

Rideshare Tracking: If you are participating in any form of ridesharing, please track it monthly either on-line at (hyperlink) or by filling out and submitting the Rideshare Tracking Calendar found on the back of the monthly issue of the "OUR CONNECTIONS" newsletter found in your Leave & Earnings statement. In order to be eligible for awards and prizes, your rideshare tracking information must be received by Commuter Services before the monthly deadline.

Preferred Parking Permits: Carpool permits are available to those who work at locations with marked spaces. Typically, these spaces are located close to the front door of the building. In order to be eligible for and obtain a preferred parking permit, you must carpool a minimum of 2 days/week. One permit will be issued per carpool. Click here to apply for a [ Carpool Parking Permit ] or contact Commuter Services at (909) 387-9640.

If you are looking for a carpool partner complete the [ Match List form ] and you will be provided with a list of individuals who live and work near you.

Guaranteed Emergency Transportation: If a County employee finds himself/herself in an emergency situation, he/she may be granted the use of the department vehicle or driven by a co-worker to the appropriate emergency-related location (i.e., a hospital, the employee’s residence, employee’s child’s school, employee’s vehicle), at the discretion of the Department Head. If no department vehicle or co-worker is available for the individual with the emergency transportation need, the Department Head may elect to allow the employee to rent a County-owned vehicle from Fleet Management. Rental charges will be absorbed by the department.
