The CAPSBC Food Bank is proud of its loyal volunteer force estimated at some 1500 plus. These committed individuals make it possible for us to reach thousands of hungry persons each month. A majority of our volunteers are community minded retired persons who, after working hard all of their lives, have dedicated their newfound time and resources giving back to the community.
Our volunteers help in a wide variety of cities and locations. From the large Community Centers located in the big cities of the Inland Empire, to the tiny schoolhouses located on dusty back roads in the Mojave Desert, all of our volunteers work together to assist the CAPSBC Food Bank in feeding the needy people of the Inland Empire.
How They Help
A majority of our volunteers work at one of our many affiliated non-profit agencies, that are located within the volunteer’s immediate area, such as their local community center, senior center, school or religious institution. The volunteers who work at the food giveaways provide a variety of services such as screening clients, unloading trucks, packing bags, and passing out the food.
