Agency Description:

Catholic Charities provides compassionate social services that respond to the suffering of the vulnerable and those in crisis in our local communities. The mission of Catholic Charities is to provide services that impact family, neighborhood, and society so that people's lives are filled with hope. Catholic Charities respects the dignity of all people and, in partnership with individuals, families and communities, advocates for their needs and supports their right to self- determination. Catholic Charities offers a range of social services to assist individuals and families in the community. Services are provided at multiple locations throughout the two counties

 

Program: Emergency and Supportive Services

Program Description: This agency provides access to emergency shelter, food, utility assistance, transportation, etc., for families and individuals in need. They provide counseling services, parent education, etc., as well as immigration services to aid new immigrants with obtaining necessary paperwork to apply for work permits and naturalization.

Through the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Grant they also provide Rental and Utility Assistance to persons in the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County and the cities of Adelanto, Barstow, Big Bear Lake, Colton, Grand Terrace, Highland, Loma Linda, Montclair, Needles, Twenty-Nine Palms, Yucaipa and the Town of Yucca Valley.
