Ms. White has been a resident of Redlands for almost 40 years and retired from the Redlands School District after 30 years of teaching.  Ms. White received her under-graduate degree in Speech Therapy and Community Disorders from the University of Redlands, and her Master’s Degree from Cal State San Bernardino in Special Education.  She is active in many community groups within the Redlands area, and in San Bernardino County.  She serves on the Boards of many entities, including Planned Parenthood for Orange and San Bernardino Counties; the Community Action Partnership (and their war on poverty program), for which she is Vice Chair; the Retired Teacher’s Association Board, for which she is currently their Vice President; she served two terms as the Chair of the San Bernardino County Democratic Central Committee; was a 5-time National Delegate for the Democratic Party, and recently attended President Obama’s inauguration.

Ms. White has received many awards and recognition for her tireless work on behalf of the citizens of San Bernardino County.  She was recognized as a Woman of Achievement by Assemblyman Bill Emerson.  She has been active throughout her career in many organizations and is still very active in San Bernardino County.  She received an award as Citizen of Achievement from the League of Women Voters and was a Ted Bass Recipient awarded for the outstanding teacher in politics.  Ms. White’s main concerns are in the areas of the environment and population; her concern for establishing a sustainable world for each of its citizens.  She is surrounded by family encompassing sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and 1 grandniece.
