Eladio (Eddie) U. Garcia
Public Sector Representative

Mr. Garcia retired from the Marine Corps Logistic Base.  He completed a four-year Electronic Apprenticeship with the Department of Navy.  Mr. Garcia has a Associate of Arts Degree and certificates of completion for numerous workshops including the Labor Union.  He is a founding member of Desert Manna Ministries in Barstow, California and a founding member of the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) Program at Barstow College.  He was a candidate runner up for various public offices in the City of Barstow and is currently running for the Barstow Fire Protection District.
Mr. Garcia is a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Knights of Columbus, Barstow Optimist Club, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) 1482  of which he was a former officer.  He is a community volunteer for the mentally challenged program.  Mr. Garcia has experience in fundraising/fund development, advocacy, public relations and marketing and organizational development.
Mr. Garcia has been on the Community Action Board since the seventies.
