Tackling our perchlorate contamination problem requires collaboration on the local, state and federal levels. U.S. Senators Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein and Congressmen Joe Baca, Ken Calvert, David Dreier, Jerry Lewis, Gary Miller and Richard Pombo have worked together to bring national attention and funding to help our local clean up effort. On the state level, Senators Bob Dutton and Nell Soto and Assembly members Joe Baca Jr., Bill Emmerson, and Gloria Negrete-Mcleod have worked equally hard to address the issue. I thank each of them for their support. I remain committed to working together to seek additional funding to implement clean up measures that promote long term clean drinking water for our residents.
