San Bernardino International Airport

Marketing Study Approved at SBIAA

The San Bernardino International Airport Authority authorized the issuance of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified firms interested in providing airport marketing services for the San Bernardino International Airport.

After Ramos’ first meeting at SBIAA, the Supervisor called attention to the need for a complete market study to examine all possible sources of revenue at the airport. Specifically, the Supervisor wanted to include sectors for non-commercial aviation businesses such as maintenance and aircraft painting companies. Yesterday, the Airport Authority unanimously approved this item and expects a firm to be chosen to conduct the study at the May – June meeting.

“SBIA is home to major non-commercial aviation business operations such as Lasera Technologies, Inc. and Aviation & Defense, Inc. I feel it is vital to conduct a marketing study that includes the businesses that have proven to be successful in creating jobs at the airport. This is a great step towards building a stable economic environment at the SBIA,” stated Supervisor Ramos.
