California Days
When: Wednesday, February 19, 2014   4:00 PM - 7:00 PM

A Special Celebration of California Days will take place on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 4-7 pm at the Highland Sam J. Racadio Library and Environmental Learning Center located at 7863 Central Avenue in Highland. 

 

Enjoy some of the treasured experiences that helped to shape the Golden State.  This event will include covered wagons with blacksmith demonstration, hands-on panning for gold, rope making, and pioneer laundry. Experience a day in the life of Father Serra, see and learn about implements and artifacts from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. Also meet and learn all about the Native Sons of the Golden West. The day will also include free State symbol crafts, free popcorn and games presented by the California Pioneer Heritage Foundation.
