First District Supervisor Robert Lovingood, along with other local officials, broke ground on Jan. 24 on a new fire station serving Spring Valley Lake. Lovingood said the new station is expected to curb fire response times by one to two minutes.

The new Spring Valley Lake Fire Station 22 on Tamarisk Road will be paid for mostly with federal reimbursements, according to Lovingood.
