As the Assessor I am charged with the responsibility of independent oversight and preparation of the annual local property assessments from which property taxes are derived. |
As the Recorder I have the responsibility for the recordation and safeguarding of any document that is authorized or required by statute or court order to be recorded and meet the recording requirements of state statutes and local ordinances. The Recorder is also responsible for the issuance of birth, death, and marriage certificates. |
As the Clerk I am responsible for filing, registering and issuing a variety of direct public services. The County Clerk is the Commissioner of Civil Marriages and may perform civil marriage ceremonies. |
As the County Archivist I am responsible for the collection and preservation of historical materials relating to the County of San Bernardino Government and way of doing business which is available for public inspection. |
