All adopted animals may be returned for illness or behavior problems within fourteen (14) days of the adoption. You will then have thirty (30) days to make another selection. You must present your
original receipt (and original spay/neuter contract
if you received one) when the animal is returned.

Pet Redemption Process
To redeem your pet you must come to the
shelter personally. To ensure that an animal is
returned to the rightful owner, you will be asked to
provide proof of ownership, such as a photograph
or veterinary records. You will need to bring a valid
picture identification card for yourself, as well. Only persons 18 years of age or older may redeem a pet. If your dog was not wearing its license at the time it was picked up then you will need to bring that with you, along with a leash. A transport carrier should be brought, if you are redeeming a cat.

Redemption fees are based on many factors and the following represents basic fee information; you must contact the shelter your animal is impounded at for exact fee amounts.
